Is Christofias doing a good job for all Cypriots?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Isn't that typical of the hellenic quartet to peddle everything that suits them and ignore everything else no matter how important or relevant.

The real question though is how much power do these people have today and where?.

We can see how much power they have...What the hell is Christofias doing talking to them in the first place???

What a pile of rubbish! A bunch of old men who represent EOKA (who amongst them was involved in EOKA B Banana? Please tell me.) went to see Christofias regarding the re-writing of the history books. These old men hold no power other than the power that EOKA has for the people of Cyprus. A group of fighters that the GC populace in its majority (key word) admires and honours for their fight and self-sacrifice against the English.

How about you being honest for a change and give us a list of how many of the past and present government officials were/are still members of EOKA......I remember a certain education minister who was for a start..How about a couple of your presidents??? I will wait for the list!!!

Zan you want a list of EOKA or EOKA B members. I see no issues with EOKA members being members of the govt...I see a great issue of EOKA B members being a member of govt and will gladly name and shame if I know who they are.

Their leader, for a start, he was there in spirit. Never mind DT, the Archbishop is also old and people just admire him because he speaks directly to God. Oh, beforer I forget, these EOKA heroes of yours sacrificed more Greek Cypriots than anything else. In my village alone, they murdered two persons, one had 5 kids and the other 6 kids. I have no respect for them and yes, many of them formed the hard core of EOKA B. This criminal organisation is blamed by all when the extreme right tries to explain the mass murders of Turkish villagers in the summer of 1974 but then they also tell us that EOKA B was disbanded in January 1974 when Grivas died.

Bloody liars!

Is EOKA Association board a secretive organisation or should there be a list of members somewhere. This smells like the freemasonry in UK.

Well, anybody that bosts of throwing a stone against the Brits in 1955-1959 can become a member of this Association and will get some benefits for it. In fact, there are some funny associations that have sprung up over the years. One is called the Association of non arrested members of EOKA and of course there is the one for the arrested members of EOKA.

Really i was upset by DT'S post who gave the impression that these are old men (and he is right of course, their average age would be about 70) but this conceals an important truth. The members of this association were in their prime in the early 70's and even younger in 1963-1964, when they formed the core of the illegal paramilitary groups that were funded by the state, unfortunately, to play the game of TMT and destroy our island.

Dear Bananiot, I honestly do not understand why you describe the meeting of Christofias with the EOKA Association board as very worrying.
Do you know of what was the reason of the meeting?
