How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby RichardB » Mon Feb 02, 2009 1:24 pm

You paid for it and it has appreciated....
My land
my earnings....The fact that the "RoC" should never have gone into the EU is only now being realised...Too late I know but still......If there is a legal way I can
prosecute I will.....You guys are not exempt.....
.Greek property or TC property...
The wole of Cyprus is Cypriot property
and you guys are enjoying my privileges....It is no different to racketeers buying up cheep property in the Gaza strip all thanks to the Israelis...You simply should not be there.....I will await the legal advise.

Zan please allow me to answer your allegations

a. If it can be proved that I have bought land which has been misappropriated in some way I will gladly return the property to its rightful owner. do you agree that this should apply to properties in the North bought by Brits and other foreigners?

b.And this prosecution will also apply to my wife? ..Cypriot born and bred is she not entitled to live in her homeland because she is married to an EU national??

c. The fact is Zan I am able to live in Cyprus legally according to international law give me a reason why I should not be there

You also mention that I am enjoying YOUR privileges No one is stopping you returning to your home to regain your privileges but i do understand your reasons for not wanting to return in the present situation. However you can hardly blame me for thie current situation can you

He could also get his RoC citizenship and enjoy everything like every other citizen. The problem is that for some racist TCs like Zan, having the same rights as everybody else is not enough. They want to have more than every other citizen just because he is "Turkish Cypriot".

Indeed, he could also resettle in Cyprus as a Cyprus citizen and enjoy more rights than I do, such as the right to vote and stand for election in national elections. Curious thing that - Cypriots living in the my country can vote in national elections there, but I can't vote in national elections if I live in their country. Maybe it is me who should be taking legal advice and prosecuting somebody.

I can but that would mean that I agree to give up my rights under the Zurich agreement which I am not going to do.

Afforded me and dragged from the dying fingers of my people at gun point....If the UK and Turkey and more importantly that of the GCs and of Greece had not agreed then they should not have signed the agreement....

You are on stolen land as it is part and parcel of he Zurich agreement...I will rely on legal advise Richard.....You are profiting from my homeland as much as any Brit in the TRNC....You land on TC land at Larnaca airport....You drive on TC land throughout your stay.....You live on the profits of the "Roc" which should benefit me first....

Tim, the Cypriots that vote in National Elections in the UK are probably those who lived there for many years and got the citizenship. British people who received the Cypriot citizenship can vote in Cyprus elections like everybody else.

The ones who forced those agreements on the Cypriot people at gun point are none else than you and the colonialists (with whom you collaborated in order to oppress the Cypriot revolution).

Makarios was blackmailed to sign those "agreements". Those "agreements" were not a product of the free will of the Cypriot people.

There would be no conflicts or wars in Cyprus if you accepted that all Cypriot people will be equal without racist discrimination. But of course you didn't accept that. You wanted privileges and gains on our expense!

That's correct. EU citizens can only vote in Local Council Elections. You need to be a UK Subject (not citizen because of the Monarchy  ) with residency, to vote in National / General Elections.
