AT THE CYPRUS EUROVISION FINAL ON THE 7TH OF FEBRUARY 2009!

Marlain is calling all those who know a “Mr. (Do Right) One Night Stand”

After last year's “Rejection” at the Cyprus Eurovision Final she is back with an energized, hard rock song…. “Mr. (Do Right) One Night Stand”.

Since the break - up with Hi - 5, Marlain has been developing her own style and is now ... a rock lover.

“Rock music let's you express yourself, exactly as you are”, she says. Writing her own music & lyrics, co – working with rock bands and other composers, she is slowly making her own mark!

She has managed to win two awards in the International Pop Music Festival PAN MUSIC 2008 in Serbia{with last year’s rejected Eurovision Cyprus song “Rejection” (Set Me Free), and she's continuing her successful collaboration with Michalis Hadzigiannis …

2009 seems to be her year...

This time she has come up with an even more exciting, energetic, original, sexy and fun rock song, so help us vote for Marlain’s entry……..and help Cyprus get noticed!

Marlain … is going to perform live along with the “Diesel Sisters” , three very beautiful and talented girls.

If you want to enjoy some of Marlain’s rock songs……………visit her website www.myspace.com/marlainangelidou

MARLAIN-REJECTION (Marlain Angelidou)Image

Marlen Angelidou (Μαρλέν Αγγελίδου in Greek characters (born Marlen Angelidi (Greek: Μαρλέν Αγγελίδη), September 6, 1978 in Athens, Greece), born Maria Eleni Madalena (Μαρία Ελένη Μανταλένα in Greek characters) sometimes spelt Marlain Angelidou, is a Greek singer and actress. She is best known for being former member of Greece's first ever manufactered girl band, Hi-5, as well as representing Cyprus in 1999's Eurovision Song Contest with Tha 'Ne Erotas, placing a disappointing 22nd out of 23 with only two points, despite being one of the favourites to win. She also took part in the 2008 National Finals to attempt once again to sing for Cyprus in Eurovision, this time with Rejection, a "non-euro song" by her own admission.[1]

Angelidou, her mother, and siblings all have triple nationality (Greek, Cypriot, and British).

Angelidou was born in Athens, Greece, to a Cypriot-born father of mainland Greek origin and a mother of half Scottish and half Greek Cypriot descent. Due to her father's job position in a multinational company, Angelidou spent most of her childhood around the world: she emigrated to Venezuela aged 5, learning fluent Spanish (which she has since forgotten), then to Belgium, and back to Cyprus, where she lived during her teenage years, on her father's request to return home. Angelidou is currently based in Athens, although her mother and brothers remain in Cyprus.

In 1998 Angelidou completed a BSc in Biochemistry 8) with Management at the prestigious Imperial College in London before choosing to study at Boston Conservatory in the USA. In 1999 she obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Musical Theatre from London's prestigious Royal Academy of Music.
