The Turks have commited a genocide against 1.5 million Armenians which they refuse to recognize.

They currently treat the Kurds and the PKK in the same way that Israel treats the Palestinians and Hamas. It was not so long ago that Turkey was bombing Kurdish villages killing 1000s of innocent people.

I was in London two weeks ago and joined in the demonstration/vigil in Kensington High Street (nearest point to israeli embassy). I sensed the real anger that the crowd felt for what was happening in Gaza and I applaud what Erdogan did at Davos, he too looked very angry.

However, if he is sincere about standing up for those who have lost their homes I suggest he apologises for the flattened and deserted villages of eastern Turkey or the ruined ghost town of Famagusta - otherwise he's a bloody hypocrite.
