Good Evening

How are you ?

Mr suetoniuspaulinus

Thanks. Reading some book
I think with the help of our greek friends, I would be History professor.
Should thank them.

Mr Murtaza

I thought you WERE a history professor

No I have a relative who love history. (Also who love talking much)

Mr Murtaza

If your relative knows half as much as you then he should be a member of this forum

I think it is now part of the genetic pattern for Greek and Turk to enjoy lively debate on this sort of subject

"Beware of Greeks bearing gifts" is now a proverb, Kifeas? You sound like a Turk!

No Viewpoint!
Being Greeks we have more effective means. We use Trojan horses!
Since Homer's times!

Mr Kifeas

No wonder Shakespeare wrote " Beware of Greeks bearing gifts"

I just posted it in ancient Greek.

I think you said all the post should be english here!

Sometimes you are just impatient and untolerant  maybe you realise it now

Translation has already been provided!
Why are you so impatient?

hmm, I dont think it is a so much bad proverb in war.
Trojan Horse is realy good idea.
But still love Hector much.
At least he is a normal man.
Not son of a god.

If you prefer, "Timeo Danaos et donna ferentes" but you have nothing to be afraid of, we are just barbarians that learned Greek.

It is not a proverb and any dictionary that says so is stupid. Its a phrase and it was uttered by Laocoon when the Trojans came face to face with the ... trojan Horse.

Now we have to learn it in Latin too, Bananiot?
