LEAKS

As all will know in most western democracies governments find it difficult to keep secrets. Sooner or later things get out in the way of leaks. Sometimes these come out through civil servants or whistle blowers talking to the press and sometimes information is deliberately leaked by governments for a variety of reasons.

In CY, every few years, the wise "Leaders" meet to resolve a little local difficulty and on every occasion that I can remember it's always done behind closed doors with very little information or substantive news getting out. Then at the end of these secretive little enclaves they announce some (usually half-baked) set of proposals in much the same way as the Catholic Bishops elect a Pope. the only thing missing is the white smoke from the roof of the Sistine Chapel.

So where are the leaks? Is there nothing to report? Aren't any eager CY journalists getting hold of a few tit-bits of news for us?
