I think they have had that meeting. Recently KIBRIS said that they are enclosing all these original Cypriots behind a fence. The same should have been done to all Greek Cypriot properties; 'Ringfenced'. Thieves, the lot of them.

Las Vegas's success was the mighty Colorado River and the building of Hoover Dam that created Lake Mead that provides the water. If and when the Colorado River dries up, and the level is going down each passing year with the amount of water coming into Lake Mead, Las Vegas will dry up and blow away just like Tumbleweed. Cyprus is already dry, so forget about any Las Vegas mirage in Karpaz.!

In todays KIBRIS newspaper there is a heading for an article:

Talat mülkiyeti görüşmeye giderken, hükümet Rum arsalarını satışa çıkardı

My translation: Whilst Talat is attending negotiation on Land and Property Issues', the goverment ( I suppose, the northern administration) are selling by auction Greek Cypriot properties. The target is £18 million.

link:- http://www.kibrisgazetesi.com/index.php ... c_Haberler.

It is in Turkish. It says that properties in the Kyrenia , Karpasia areas, belonging to GCs will be sold by auction, blah, blah blah. No need to translate more. My temper is running high.

The tenders will all be submitted by 30th January.

At least they admit that they are Greek Cypriot properties.

Some good news for once. These sales appear to have been halted, for now at least:

Ferdi Sabit Soyer has said that there was too much 'demagogy' in connection with this matter, and the situation would be re-assessed following the elections.

Some hope Tim. They should never have been so shortsighted. These activities should never have taken place to begin with. Someone should be accountable, the same way we expect accountability from the RoC.

Absolutely atrocious.... Halil should be ashamed of himself!

Halil is rubbing salt into our wounds.

It is clear that the TCs will sell anything that is stolen...

Look at this headline that has just appeared at Kibris:

http://www.kibrisgazetesi.com/popup.php ... c_Haberler

Eşdeğer Mal Sahipleri Derneği, Rum mülklerinin satışına şiddetle karşı

Exchange Property Owners Association violently opposes the sale of Greek Cypriot property

It seems they are taking legal action through the TRNC courts to halt sales of Greek Cypriot property!

It is time for me to take the cat for a walk (true!), but I will take a closer look at this later.
