Why are they doing this?!?!?!?!?

Because Turkey wants Turkish Cypriots to be her bitch to entertain her Generals.

All that remains now is to find a good Elvis impersonator and the dice are rolling baby! 8)

One of the best ELvis impersonators was in London at Ciro's Pizza Pomodoro, a guy called Louis. Got chatting to him and found out his name was really Loizos and he's from Strovolos

Just the other week I saw an Elvis Impersonator. The number plate on his old bomb was also "ELVIS".. His name was Stavros..

Who needs 16 hotels in a place like Karpaz? It's just so pathetic...honestly...

And who will stay in these 16 hotels?

Is there enough tourists in Karpaz for them to justify building 16 hotels?!? You don't build 16 hotels in the hope it might "generate" business.

Surely you'd do it somewhere that requires it.

The article talks about a capacity of 52,000 beds.

The number plate must've cost him a fortune.... but should have a high resale value. Back in Australia, I use to have a beautiful yellow Celica special edition and did a search to get a “Canary” number plate but I freaked out when I heard the cost and took off…

Yup, that should accommodate the Turkish contingent on Cyprus with some rooms to spare...

By the end of 2010, it is reported that the peninsula will be home to 16 five-star hotels, a shopping centre, a marina and desalination plants. Yeh, personalised number plates can be expensive and some are highly sought after. I have seen some classics.

Normal number plates will suffice for me I think. Rego and insurance in Australia is expensive enough.

What is a "Canary" to do but take off?

Maybe the upcoming economic downturn will put these plans where they belong. And where is this Cyprus desert that these blooming architects will make bloom with their desalination plants?

Making the desert bloom sounds like a very Israeli phrase.

I find this all shameful.

In todays KIBRIS newspaper there is a heading for an article:

Talat mülkiyeti görüşmeye giderken, hükümet Rum arsalarını satışa çıkardı

My translation: Whilst Talat is attending negotiation on Land and Property Issues', the goverment ( I suppose, the northern administration) are selling by auction Greek Cypriot properties. The target is £18 million.

link:- http://www.kibrisgazetesi.com/index.php ... c_Haberler.

It is in Turkish. It says that properties in the Kyrenia , Karpasia areas, belonging to GCs will be sold by auction, blah, blah blah. No need to translate more. My temper is running high.

The tenders will all be submitted by 30th January.

At least they admit that they are Greek Cypriot properties.
