Louis Lines ran its cruise-ferry service from 2005-2007. In 2008, however, it was no longer accepting vehicles, just passengers on round tripand/or one-way passages Rhodes-limassol and also (fewer sailings) from Crete (Aghios Nikalaos port east of Iraklion)-Limassol.
Remains to be seen what Louis Lines have up their sleeves for 2009 but they are supposed to be posting their sailing schedule from Cyprus on their website in February.
take a look at Viamare website for cargo sailings with Salamis. It may be that Salamis have now reverted to only carring verhicles, with owners having to fly out and collect their vehicles on arrival in Limassol.
I read an article in Cyprus Mail that a decision was to be take in December 2008 regarding the introduction of a new, EU funded, ferry service between Greece (not necessarily Piraeus - could well be RHODES instead) and Limassol. However, have been unable to glean any further information.
A reliable source of information is Varianos Travel in Nicosia. It is too early for information to be posted for 2008 but you could monitor their site.
Take a look to at Cruise Cyprus for information about Grimaldi freighter cruises out of the Uk with emabraction possible in Salerno, Italy. but NOT in Piraeus.
