When did this resistance from TCs against the British Colonial Rule happened?
1958 was the year that TMT started their action and their target were Greek Cypriots not the British. Also the website that Halil gave is for sure not about any resistance to British Colonial rule. So did Halil mix up irrelevant things?

u too young to understand THE STRUGGLE FOR FREEDOM
in 1955 terrorist activity was commenced by the Greek Cypriotsagainst the British and Turkish Cypriots ,not with the a view to achieving independence but with unifing Cyprus with Greece. Here it would not be out of place to quote from a statement by EOKA issued during the emergency prior to independence ''We have two enemies before us.The first deal with the English and the seconed the Turks. We will first deal with the English and throw them out of the Island; than we shall annihilate the Turks. Our aim is ENOSİS.It is our duty to see that this aim is materialised whatever the coast may be '' The position of the Turkish Cypriots in a such a struggle was very difficult. They would not consent to the unification of Cyprus with Greece.......
As the 55-58 struggle more bitter and Greece started to support the ENOSIS campaign openly by taking the Cyprus case to the United Nations, the inter-communal strafe became deeper and deeper and it becomes obvious to all concern that the Cyprus issue could only be settled if the rights and interest of all parties were taken care of in a compromise settlement. In 1955 Britain called a tripartite conference in London between UK,Turkey and Greece.------------ but no settlement could be reached as Greece insisted on ENOSIS . Turkey refused to accept such a solution and Great Britain would not yield to such a demand.Turkey Inssisted on equal rights for both communities in any solution as she was full aware of the behaviour of the Greeks towards the Turks and Turkish anxieties.Later the solution of ''Partition=TAKSİM'' was advanced by Turkish Cypriots on the princible of of equal rights and self-determination for both communities. During this times Turkish Cypriots were making demonstration in Cyprus ''YA TAKSİM YA ÖLÜM'' (PARTİTİON or DIE ) British Troops were trying to stopped those demonstration and there was a also clashes between Turkish Cypriots and British Troops ..........(dates were 27-28 January 1958)
