Sorry mate, the way I understood it, is the way it reads. I will reassess my ability with English when I become a native speaker of another language (which must be impossible at my age).

Please do not put your children ina Greek School, they will learn nothing, please also note, Cypriot kids do not play with Brittish kids. Been there got the shirt.

My kids all went to a Greek speaking school here and had no problems related to their Britishness.

Well you must be unique, We tried three different schools, all the same, and we are by no means alone, many parents have the same story to tell, and this is it. They put your child back two years, so they can learn Greek, two years! then they proceed to ignore them, while they are bored out of their pants. Cypriot children are told by their parents not to play with them, I have heard them, they don't try to hide it, they seem to think that English kids are badly behaved, now that's a joke when their own don't have a clue how to behave. The teachers dress like they were going clubbing, there is no playground supervision, and if you keep your little one at home for a few days, no-one queries it, who cares? they don't. your child will ofcourse be invited to Cypriots birthday party's, just so they get a gift, don't ask them to play with your child though, i have had to pick mine up early twice, as was left on his own, there will not be a third!

Trustme you are unfortunate in your experience and clouded outlook.

The kids learn independence and social skills on a level non-comparable to back in the UK. The teachers behave like normal human beings and actually play with the kids in the playground rather than just bark authority, which breeds rebellion.

There are no drug problems, knifing problems and other common UK attributes. Class sizes are much smaller in Cyprus!

The rest (the learning bit) depends on how able your child is .....

Big deal! You should’ve been a refugee dressed in rags like we were right after the 1974 Turkish invasion, arriving in London traumatized with two pounds left in our pockets and having to put up with the bollocks of the racist British arsehole kids at schools who could sense we were troubled from a mile away… nothing can possibly match the racism some of us experienced in the UK back then. You know the old saying…what goes round comes round... well in your case you're bloody lucky they just ignore you!

Oracle and Get Real, You have just confirmed to people reading this Forum, excactly what the Cypriot thinks of the English, no surprise to me, but I am SCOTTISH, and won't put up with the ignorance of the Tattiehowker. Oracle,The Cypriot Education is a joke compared to Scotland, we have smaller classes than here, we don't have any of the nonsence you describe, it is superior in every way-fact. As for our childs ability's? you had better look at your own, it needs more attention.

Get Real, You are refering to kids, I am refering to Adults, shamefull. And before you suggest to me to go back to where I came from, that's just what I intend to do.
