Because we were living together before for generations peacefully, before foreign powers victimised Cyprus to the divide and rule policy. I want a free, demetrilised, united Cyprus for all Cypriots and I don't want my population to be assimilated by Turks. I want to live with my brothers, the Greek speaking Cypriots.

P.S. Who told you TCS do not want to live? That's your opinion if you don't but you have no right to speak for most TCs. Majority of TCs do, but like all Cypriots they want to be insured of their safety.

VP has always had this notion that the T/Cs do not wish to live with the G/Cs. He has known me on the forum for almost 3 years , I think he has nudgingly come to respect my views which have been consistent with my very first post on this forum.
He was born in the UK , unlike myself who was born in Cyprus and had contacts with T/Cs . In 1953 following an earthquake in my village I , along with my brothers and sister ended up in the Limassol orphanage where T/C boys and girls in the same sad predicament as us were also staying. We played with them , laughed and fought as kids do but never saw them as enemies or non Cypriots. We all lived together , eat together , and shared dormitories.
VP's views are in the minority , I keep telling him this and he is beginning to doubt his position. You , Nil , are not in the minority , as a Cypriot who sees Cyprus as your nation (unlike VP who sees Cyprus as a foreign country ) you are representative of the majority of Cypriot people.

What makes you feel I am doubting my position the arguements put forward on this thread alone are statement to support my belief that we cannot agree jack shit and that the chasm is to wide to bridge, there is absolutely no trust and no TC wants to live in a GC state run by the "majority" namely the GCs. Tcs will not expose themselves to GC rule without strong safeguards which the GCs will never accept eg AP so stale mate will continue indefinately.

Your views are utopian and very dangerous for TCs as you do not seem to be aware of the GC stance that is to reduce us to just another minority without any community rights leaving us exposed to GC administered democracy which has always been biased and discriminative against TCs.

I am glad you spotted that VP.... I haven't stopped laughing since I read it...... I really am beginning to feel sorry for him...He hangs on to the thinnest of threads though he is hanging high above the ground!!!

Cyprus is big enough for both GC's and TC's to live in harmony. My experience has been that TC's are holding half my country hostage and are not allowing people to return to their homes and properties. Worse still they sell property that does not belong to them to unethical British wankers who later on cry victim.

Whilst the GC's have repeatedly said you are welcome to live anywhere in Cyprus should you choose to do so and can have your property back anytime, we like you so much that for the past 34 years we have set up a TC property trust to ensure your properties are not sold to unethical British & Irish wankers who do not respect another human beings rights.

You really havent gotten to grips with the core of this thread, the division is just not the fault of the TCs GCs had a great deal to do with it and now want to consume the TCs and take control of the whole island. Our fears are not living accross the street to yorgo but the fact that Yorgo and crew want to rule the whole island and administer their newly adopted "democracy" on TCs. We want a guaranteed say in our own future under a structure that cannot be manipulated by the GCs to push us aside, how difficult is this to understand as you appear to bypassthe very crux of the matter time and time again.

Yes what we want is OUR land. What is wrong with that? Your question is stupid "Why do GCs want to live with TCs?". Who told you we want to live with TCs? Did you ask us when you came to our island if we wanted to live with you? You should have asked us then, not now What is the point of asking this question now? If we don't want to live with you are you going to leave from Cyprus? And if you don't want to live with us does this mean you can steal our land and ethnically cleanse us? If we don't match then you should have thought of that before you came to our island!!
