You know, after reading Mr. H's posting, as well as the responses, I get the feeling that there is a large capacity here on this forum for self-denial! Okay, IMHO the story does not sound all that likely, but completely debunking it... and then it all turns out to be true is going to do nothing to help ones credibility.
Politicians (and I would rather not go into details as to how much I dislike them) do tend to sound out on various options to gauge reaction. If Mr. H's statement is true, it is probably just that. But since rumors and innuendo are sometimes the best sources of information to politicians as well as journalists, one should be mindful of such things. Ignoring them is not the way to deal with them, and while this comment provided by Mr. H. does sound rather crazy, is it crazy enough to be true?

That's not how things work around here. If someone wants to imply anything as fact, then the least they can do is back it up with reliable sources. Otherwise, any ridiculous notions such as those given by "MrH" deserve to be treated with total contempt.

These ridiculous statements are from the sewer. Why is it that "MrH" knows all about these "anonymous revelations" and yet no GC living in the RoC has any idea about them.

I am pretty certain that there is no GC politician that would even consider the recognition of the "trnc" as an option. Let's just say that Russia managed to invade Canada and usurps part of your territory and then form an illegal entity. Would any Canadian politician consider recognising it?

Mate Nil is not the only T/C who sees the entire island as her home country unlike you and others that look to Turkey as their motherland. I have met hundreds of Nils in my 20 plus years of daily interaction with T/Cs due to my business .She is not in the minority but in the silent majority of indigenous Cypriots who aspire to see their island united and foreign troops out .
She and others like her belong to the majority of Cypriots who care first and foremost for the future of this island and its future generations to come . I say to hell with Turkey and Greece Long live Cyprus , the real Cyprus not the puppet army manufactured "trnc"
