You mean assets in the EU not just the UK but anyway, I'd wager that once it's legally established that somebody owes someone else the equivalent of a house/land, debt recovery can take many nasty forms and shapes including but not limited to deductions from one's salary/wages/pensions, etc...

UK EU MARS, if these people have no assets in their names and reside in the TRNC with their money in one of the local banks, what difference does this judgement make. You cannot touch anyones pension, its not legal to do so.

The game is up VP ! The cheapskates have reached the end . Have they learned a lesson ? You bet !!

Please tell mewhat difference it will maketo their daily lives in the TRNC?

To those that need to sell their properties....loads. No buyers.
To those that are sitting on "exchange land" (FFS  ) titles....loads. Have you ever slept in your house thinking that if there's a solution you might not own this house?
No matter how miniscule the risk is people's entire phsyche to their home is one of escape and shelter from the problems of their lives. Once your house becomes the problem then sleepless nights and high anxiety are next.

They dont seem to be to worried they are all living the high life eating drinking and living in villa with swimming pools money in the bank.

They are also very confident that there will never be a solution and I have to agree with them 35 years is enough proof.

There's about 6 threads in the english expat forum of he occupied areas called "will they take our homes away" "the orams case" etc...... www.cyprus44.com . I advise you to pay a visit to this forum and have a look for yourself how these opportunists are living. For me this past couple of weeks have been the biggest example of Schadenfreude I've ever seen....its been great.

"If you can't fuck a friend, who can you fuck".!

These people who are panicking like "their" house is on fire are now realizing that they were being fucked by their friends all the time, and they didn't even know about it, but now, they are starting to feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel it.!

What do you want to bet that they will still be residing in the TRNC without a solution, they are confident that we can never agree jack shit let alone a solution.

Where the hell are they going to go, specially after the Orams's legal opinion becomes law soon. They will all become wanted criminals in the EU, and the only place that seems to be a safe haven for them, is in the "trnc".! Nice reputation the north is creating for itself.!

I gave you a perfect solution plan that covered all your "safeguards" concerns, but you don't want it, because it would mean giving back GC land that does not belong to you. The time is ticking for Turkey to decide what she wants, the EU or part of Cyprus. At that point, you will have to take what ever Turkey tells you to take if she chooses the EU, then you will be begging for my plan to be used, but it may be too little too late by then. I really did try to help you. Perhaps with the added information that I will add to the plan very soon, may yet change your mind. I kind of doubt it, however, because it will still be a Democratic plan and does not have a partition clause in it.

The point is that individual property owners are increasingly taking action under civil law in order to defend their rights. Such cases are not dependent on a solution, but are based on fundamental property rights.
