Bill got a lot of mileage out of put-downs about his wife. A no no ! .... especially since she wasn't around to reciprocate in kind ... Boy, I'm sure she could tell us a few things about Bill to make us laugh

(Not to be confused with bill cobbett, the perfect gentleman!)

I don't know the man. I just didn't like a lot of the things he said.

.... (Mutual I'm sure.)

I’m still in the land of the living and loving Cyprus! :P

Thanks for your concern…

I’ve found this forum a little boring of late and when I changed my browser I didn’t bother setting it as one of my ‘home’ pages although I do look in every now and again. All forums change as the membership cycles and no doubt I’ll spend more time here again in the future…

To be honest, I’m also spending lots of time in my virtual pub recently…

Hello Grump, nice pub, I may call in one day. I see there are other Grumps at the bar, is it a family business?

PS how much is a whisky mac, I was robbed in London last week - £14 for two!

Hi, thanks for your kind words...

Actually, I'm not grumpy in the pub (that must be the alcohol), I'm the Barman! :P

You should call in - your first whisky mac will be on the house although the regulars are more into single malts...

Yeh, and £3.50 for a small slice of chocolate coated shortbread at the Orangery in Kensington Gardens, mind you there was a clue on the menu - it was called "millionaires shortbread". I could not say no it was part of our ...tieth wedding anniversary weekend.
