As talks to find a solution to the Cyprus Problem progress, Diplomatic traffic on the Cyprus Problem is continuing.
The UN Secretary General’s Special Advisor to Cyprus Alexander Downer is in Britain for a series of contacts.
Downer who met with British Foreign Secretary David Miliband in London briefed him on the latest stage reached in the Cyprus Negotiations process.
According to a statement issued by the British High Commission in Cyprus, the UN Special Advisor Alexander Downer and British Foreign Secretary David Miliband took up the future course of the negotiations process, including, the property issue, which is to be taken up next week by the two leaders.
The British Foreign Secretary is also said to have convyed his country’s readiness to support the UN’s ongoing efforts to find a comprehensive and lasting solution to the Cyprus Problem.
Miliband is said he was pleased with his meeting with the UN Envoy.
The statement also said that the issue of de-mining in Cyprus had also been discussed during the meeting.
