unfortunately we heard the exact same response from majority of GC members last week when TC cars were attacked & vandalised in the "free areas"

The attacks , as I said earlier , are condemned by every law abiding citizen , the fact that such attacks occur in other countries is totally irrelevant. The thugs that perpetrated these attacks ought to be arrested and charged accordingly. NO DECENT G/C excuses such barbaric behaviour.

As iceman says....

The reason for such a comment Nikitas will be because of the reasons you bring these things up in the first place.....We have people on here  that try to convince us that Turkey is the worst place on the planet and the worst people in the world so we should give it up and surrender to the "RoC".....Then, in response to this, some of us are pointing out that the world is no different.

When things go bad the people at the bottom always get the blame....Unfortunatly....For ALL Greeks...Turkish is a dirty word....You are programed to think so.....It is how you think.....We have no intention of letting that happen....We are partners in Cyprus...Take it or leave it.

- Ergenekon network mainly aims to break Turkey's ties with the NATO and the West in general.
.

So does Hellenic lobby all over the world.

- Most of the Ergenekon members are anti-Semitic. They claim that the MOSSAD has played very dirty role in Turkish politics and aimed to divide the country into poles.

They must have had their diploma on anti-semitism from Greece, RoC or must have been members of CF.

- Almost all Ergenekon members are isolationalist. They are against the European Union, United State and Israel. All are ultra-nationalist Kemalist
.

So are most of GCs posting here, save for E.U.

- The Ergenekon generals prefer Russian and Iranian relations instead of American and Western relations.

What is wrong with that ? Doesn't mother Russia ranks among the foremost supporters of RoC ?

- Ergenekon made a strong campaign against the US intervention in Iraq in 2003.

What is wrong with that either? Wouldn't many of you agree with that policy ?

- Ergenekon members are against all kind of negotiations in Cyprus.

So are Hristomos and Greek Orthodox church.

- Ergenekon members have very strong relations with Moscow. One of the high level members, Levent Ersoz had escaped to Moscow.

Commrade Hristofiass, comrade Hristofiasss.Dobrae utra, Tovarish. Ochyin Priiatna raznakomitsa.

- Some of the Ergenekon members, like Dogu Perincek, has special relations with China.

So what ? Is it a sin to fancy Chinese cuisine ?

- Ergenekon defends that Turkey should not join the EU. They see the EU as anti-Turkish and enemy organization.

What is wrong with opposing to a membership which will never come true anyway?

- Ergenekon members argue that the biggest danger for Turkish interests is an independent Kurdish state in northern Iraq. They defends that Turkey should destroy the Barzani and Talabani forces. They further argue that Turkey should intervene militarily in Kerkuk issue.

That is because both of them overtly support PKK.

- Almost all of them are anti-Semitic. Some of the Ergenekon intellectuals wrote anti-Semitic books and started anti-Semitic campaigns in order to spread their anit-Israeli opinion amon the people.

Europe and Greece and RoC are full of anti-semitic people. Even this forum is crawling with many of them. Don't you agree, Free spirit, Purdey and Milti ?

- Ergenekon defends that the secret Jews and secret Armenians govern the country.

Jews control the USA, thus in an indirect way Turkey. The bit about armenians which is a tiny and harassed minority in Turkey is utter crap.

- Ergenekon is against any dialogue with Armenia and Armenians.

Maybe. Is AKP in favor ? Has it so far shown any attempt for reconciliation like for example recognizing genocide ?

- Ergenekon claims that the current AKP Government is backed by the US.

This one is obvious.

- According to the Ergenekon papers, the US wants to use Turkey in order to re-construct the Middle East (Greater Middle eastern Project).

Considering U.S occupation of Iraq, Afhganistan and their involvement in neigbouring Caucasian area, this allegation is worth a serious consideration.

-
Retired General Tuncer Kilinc, the former General Secretary of the Turkish National Security Council (MGK), argued that Turkey should leave the NATO alliance and should search possibilities for close co-operation with Russia and other power centers in the region. Kilinc is considered one of the significant members of the Ergenekon network. Kilinc said "the United States use the NATO and United Nations in its global hegemony. Kilinc further claimed that Turkey (30 May 2007).
Supposing this comes true, in which way such a possibility may hurt RoC ?

Let's face it, one of the biggest supporters of Russia is RoC and Turkey is also getting closer to her. Wouldn't such a move give Russia a potential role as a go-between in CyProb ?
