It would seem from this that GC dislike TC and they know it where as TC dislike GC but do not know it
The results indicate that while Greek Cypriots were consistent in their views on the other community in both the explicit and implicit tests, Turkish Cypriots, although they claimed a greater “liking” for Greek Cypriots during explicit questioning, revealed subconscious negative feelings towards Greek Cypriots that they did not appear to be aware of, probably a result of built-up negative associations over many years.

The survey is interesting, but unfortunately the sample is not representative - it is only young people 17 to 22.
In fact, from the results now coming out of the new bicommunal survey, I would say that the picture is totally different with the older people - in which age group the GCs are more affectionate to TCs than the other way round.
Also, on the whole, the GCs are more willing to accept TCs as their neighbors, and consider re-unification with the TCs a stronger motive for a solution, than the TCs do.
I'll try and post some charts later, if I have time.

Mr Lordos,
This IS what I believe the real problem is and will be.
As individuals, within our respective societies, we can rant and rave and post inflamatory comments, some with sincere belief and others in error.
Howver, I am not confidant about our ability to bring about a solution to the CYPROB, HOWEVER WE MAY VIEW IT.
I belive a "solution " will be agreed by the politicians and businessmen and, US, UN, EU, TR, GR et al. Whatever it is it will be unfair and ordinary people will suffer. It will cause pain and anguish to all.
But what will be will be.
The real problem as I see it is how to unite as brothers to build a stronger society AFTER the "solution".
Our children and youngster are NOT receiving the right messages from their elders, nor the media, nor their priests nor their politicians.
We need to teach the children. NOW. They are the future.
