TC like GC far more than GC like TC

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Why were the importing guns? what use did they have for them? did they feel threatened??

You must explain this to me. For what reason you were importing weapons since 1958. And let's say that at those times EOKA was also importing weapons during the struggle against the British. After 1960? For what reason you were importing weapons after independence? To declare a war against the GCs? What did you want to achieve with these guns?

Since 1959, a time at which EOKA was officially dissolved and most of its weapons were confiscated by the British, the GCs begun importing weapons only at beginning of 1963 and as a consequence of TMT’s continues secret armament throughout all the previous years. “Denis” ship was coming and going from Kokkina to Turkey, every second night. Don’t you think that you also have your share of the blame for what happened later, in 1963/64. Each community felt threaten by the actions of the other community. Each community had their secret separate agendas. You wanted to create the right conditions for partition to materialise; we wanted to create the conditions to change the constitution. In the end, it was a matter of firing the first bullet. The TC community paid a heavier price because it was simply smaller and consequently weaker in numbers. To load all the blame on the GCs is nothing more and nothing less than playing ostrich.

Couldnt agree with you more, but your majority dominance goals via a change in the constitution plus the enosis dream was ample reason for TCs to arm themselves against GC aggression.

I have just purchased two guns after hearing you guys keep guns to use against us only if there should be a war. I feel I should also have the right to defend myself and family just like the Turkish Cypriot community back in the 1960s. But my guns purchase is in direct reaction to the GC mentality with regards to distributing guns to ordinary GCs to keep in their homes. I have also encouraged relatives and friends to keep guns "only to be used against GCs in time of war" nothing to worry about. Is this the attiude we should all adopt where will it get us, the fear and threat of death was very real back in the 1960s so shipping arms in for protection in my opinion was a natural reaction just like mine against GCs actions and ambitions.

TCs begun arming themselves before the GC intentions for a change to the constitution were expressed or became known, and well before they begun arming themselves in a systematic way.

Buy as many water pistols as you wish. I can even tell you from were in Karaoglanoglou you can purchase them. Just make sure you know how to use them because sometimes people get shot by themselves due to lack of training.

Kifeas why do you feel you have to always be one ahead this is a very GC thing your mentality dictates that we have no vlaid arguements and you have to counter argue everything, TC armed themselves for protection reasons, be it 1958 or 1960 or 1963. Those times were very explosive and the TC minority feared for their lives, why do u have problems calling the kettle black?

And when the GCs saw the TCs getting armed so vividly, they also began arming themselves even more vividly. And when the TCs saw the GCs getting armed more vividly than them, they increased their armament even more. Then the GCs followed and bingo!

Coe on Keifas. There was ample reason to fear that GC might try and subvert the agreements they had made in their continued persuit of ENOSIS and use violece against any that oppsed them. You did not need to 'arm' yourselves against TC. You were numericaly stronger and had all the majority of the arms of the 'state'. In 63 you had to start to arm yourself against possible Turkish reaction to your illegal acts and starting pouring in massive amounts of arms - in direct contravention of UN resolutions on Cyprus.

How do you know this. Do you in fact work for RoC security services / police services under 'cover' of being a businessman associated with tourism? I mean I live here I go to Karaoglanoglou and I have no idea where I might purchase an illegal gun.

And TC massive armaments from 1958 -1964 were within the UN SC resolutions.
And the reason the TCs were arming themselves was?
And since the GC were numerically more and in case of an inter-communal conflict it would have been almost impossible for the TCs to put up, why then the TC were arming themselves? And if the TCs were not armed, what need would have existed for the GCs to arm themselves and attack the TCs if they were not presenting any danger to them?
Or perhaps they wanted to "invite" the GCs to attack them?
Wouldn't it be a perfect excuse for Turkey to invade and help them in their partition plans?
Didn't the GCs in the end almost fell so stupidly in the trap that the TCs were setting up for them?
And if you remember, you have been denouncing the armed EOKA struggle as illegal and instead it should have been a peaceful one (passive resistance, civil disobedience, etc.) Are you also ready to equally denounce the TMT and the TC armament, as well as the GC one of course?

Do you know many secret agents who let their status become publicly known through postings in forums?
