Actually that proves nothing, the fact an Empire controlled a piece of land. Look at Eastern Roman Empire, 5th century AD onwards it went through a process known as 'Hellenization', by 7th century it effectively became The Greek Byzantine Empire. It is culture and people, not ownership that decide the future of a land. And the fact you hide behind this one is proof that turks have no cultural or racial claim to CYPRUS.
