With such choices in weapons, I suggest you go read some more on military operations. Or you risk loosing the other 64% of your land. :)

So it looks like not a good war can be made at cyprus.
If you cant do a thing fine, Just dont do it!

Well, a war can't be good. It is possible however to have some action in Cyprus. It's just the matter of choosing proper weapons. Without thinking too much about it, I'd pick helicopters for the skies (MI-24I hear are pretty cheap these days), few ships with heavy artillery for the naval assaults, and infantry with few motorized divisions and artillery on the ground.

But, seriously, I'd be much more glad to opt for 'Just dont do it!' alternative. :)

Well, I didn't ask for the specifications. locations, etc. I just wanted a few hints here and there... :)

At 4:00am on Saturday morning? Nah... :)

Maybe we should all retire to a mass Cypriot online frag fest ;)
Might help to relive some of the tension?

I'll second that. We can play 'Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory'. It is a multiplayer game that can accomodate a lot of people (2 teams x 64 people is the maximum, if I remember correctly). It is available for free, which will save some of these kids a pound. And it has the World War II theme around it, which is very close in time to Cyprus military intervention. And, of course, the name matches this thread nicely. :)

Excellent idea! :)

Since this thread was full with illegal things and now we talk about games, does anybody know from were I can buy pirated games in Cyprus? Maybe TVSET brought some from Russia? I know they sell them in kiosks there

And before anybody starts screaming, I believe that my nickname allows me this small illegality

I know lots of places in Cyprus - but they are all in the north ;) Just one of the davantages of not being 'recognised' and not being in the EU I guess :)

Sure I did bring some. But they are all about 10 years old now - from the time I came here... :)

I am asking because I want to check how many more, if any, we need to buy, because we are going to need them pretty soon.

A side note: tanks are a really really bad weapon to be used in Cyprus. Especially those of Russian/Soviet manufacture that RoC has now...

Television box,
Where are you from? Are you a Cypriot?
What do you know about the Russian/Soviet manufacture Tanks that RoC has now? Do you know which model of tanks the RoC has now?

If you could have 'solved' the Cyprus problem merely by buting some more tanks then surely you would have done so already by now? ;)

Really people - calm down.

Just a suggestion :)

Should I assume that you also agree with Turks partition solution idea?
What percentage of TCs agree with his understanding of a solution?

What I see is that there are many TC extremists in this forum. They believe that the Cyprus problem can be solved with ethnic cleansing in order to separate TCs from GCs.

A GC equivalent to them would be the one supporting that the solution to the Cyprus problem is to ethnically cleanse TCs from the island.

Our TC friends in here have to decide: Can ethnic cleansing be the solution of the Cyprus problem? Yes or no?

Of course there is no way that we will ever agree on ethnic cleansing against us, and they will never agree to ethnic cleansing against them.
It is as ridiculous for them to ask from us to accept the legalization of the defacto situation, as it would be if we asked from them to abandon Cyprus in order to solve the Cyprus problem (of course we did not ask for such thing, because we do not ask for ridiculous things).
Therefore if the answer to the above question is "yes" (i hope it is not), this is the end of discussions, we are enemies, and we will fight this war till the end.
