TC and GC POLITICAL PARTIES CONDEMN THE ATTACKS

TURKISH CYPRIOT AND GREEK CYPRIOT POLITICAL PARTIES CONDEMN THE ATTACK IN A JOINT STATEMENT

Condemnations over Greek Cypriot hooligans’ attacks against Turkish Cypriots are continuing.
Some Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot political parties have strongly condemned the attack in a joint statement.(CTP-BG, TDP and BKP from TC side. AKEL, DISI, DIKO, EDI and ADIK from GC side)

The statement was issued after the sub-committee meeting of Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot parties at the Ledra Palace Hotel at the UN controlled buffer zone yesterday.

In the statement, the parties which have been holding routine meetings organized by the Slovakian Embassy said these kind of incidents are putting negative effect on relations between the two communities and the negotiations process.

The sub-committee said the issue will again be taken up at a meeting tomorrow which will be attended by party leaders and representatives.
Yesterday, the Leader of the Greek Cypriot Administration Demetris Christofias also condemned Saturday’s attacks against Turkish Cypriot vehicles in the South by Greek Cypriot fanatics.

`These are hostile actions` Christofias said.
He stressed the need for making strong condemnation against actions carried out by chauvinist and nationalist circles in both sides of the island.
The Greek Cypriot Leader warned that in case they fail to condemn such attacks, then this will encourage further partition instead of reunification.

Hi Halil,

In a similar posting, this goes to prove how nationalistic and racist the majority/common Greek Cypriot people at ground level are. The politicians can have all the good-intentions in the world, but it's those Greek Cypriots with whom we'll have to live with that count!

And they're as nationalistic as Hitler!

Good luck with the bogus unification talks, I say. Or, perhaps we could accept unification only to prove to the world that we can not live together, re-engage in inter-communal fighting and then watch Turkiye take the entire island - obviously, if that's what the GCs really want?

Get Real,

We've been there longer than the whites have been in Australia or America - the year was 1571 mate!

And, do you honestly believe there were any Turkish Women on board the ships that landed in Famagusta in 1571. Like it or not, all peoples on the Island of Cyprus today have a bit of Turkish in them regardless of how you should look at it.

Therefore, the real matter here is whether the so-called Greek Cypriots should be honest with themselves and embrace their part Turkishness!!!! or remain in complete denial. Your "Greek" patriotic stance is obvious a lie and false - stop kidding yourselves and accept who you really are, espeically if you have brown eyes, dark hair colour and have more hairs on your body than the average Englishman!

If you're not one of us today Get Real, you sure will be when Turkey becomes an EU member state. I look forward to inviting you to my pad in Girne for a Turkish Coffee, and a light discussion in the near future.

Kind regards and no hard feelings,
Mr H

That part of the EU Acquis will not be implemented thanks to France and Germany, so all Turks will still be confined within their own borders as they should be, because you lot are clearly not Europeans.

Don't wish to speak for GR, but you can stick your coffee invites up your arse. Just make sure the coffee is not too hot so that you don't burn yourself.

Hi Halil,

Actually, the Turkish Cypriots in Northern Cyprus have been questioning these issues ever since the 2004 referendum due to the lies and broken promises of the Greek Cypriots and, unfortunately, the European Union.

I mean, how the hell can the Greek Cypriots reject such an important unification plan and then be rewarded with EU membership, unopposed! Ridiculous! With UBP creeping into the polls in Kuzey Kibris, it looks like Talat hasn't really got much time left at all.

I guess that leaves us with only one true friend, Turkiye!

When are these Greek Cypriot going to learn?

Go to any prison and you’ll hear wardens ask…“What’s the matter don’t you like it here?” and the inmates always respond…“Hell no!” …and then the wardens swiftly remind…“Well don’t bloody come here then!”

I guess you're referring to us Turkish Cypriots no not to cross the boarder to Southern Cyprus - No problem on my behalf! I'd actually prefer to look at Southern Cyprus through my Sniper Gun lens! It's safer - might get attacked, know what I mean - hehehehe.

Well if no women travelled over with your soldiers and your men mated with Greek women then surely you should consider yourselves part Greek.
