How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Here Get Real, have a read of this - just goes to show how wonderfully minded your GC Hierarchy are! And you expect us Turkish Cypriots to sign a PURE unification deal with no inter-states or guarantees with GC law makers like the following Archbishop Chrysostomides....The days of Papacy rule are long outdated..get rid of the fool.....and least we moved on and dumped our TC religious law-makers, while your side still kisses their dirty feet, that's how brain-washed you people are.......

Ungrateful Cypriots did not appreciate Tassos Papadopoulos

A TEARY Archbishop Chrysostomides lashed out at the Cypriot people on Sunday over their “ingratitude” towards former President Tassos Papadopoulos for saving them from the Annan plan.

The Church leader’s outburst took place during a memorial service to mark the 40 days since the death of the former President, which was attended by political figures and Papadopoulos` family and friends.

“Papadopoulos saved Cyprus and its status as a state from collapse,” said Chrysostomos. Referring to the “ingratitude” of the Cypriot people, he added: “This is the fate of great people (Papadopoulos) and we have many examples in history. I hope Tassos is the last.”

Ministers, deputies, diplomats and the House President were among those present at Ayios Nicolaos Church in Kato Deftera, where Papadopoulos is buried.

Yeah Right!

More like the GC politicians need to ACCEPT Partition. When has a politicians' so-called condemnation of a racist event ever Stopped it?

NEVER!

Exactly, Prevention is better than CURE, especially with the case of Cyprus. Even the former EOKA Politicians in the 1960s were constantly condemning attacks on the Turkish Cypriots, but that didn't stop the nationalists did it? Go and lie to another neighbour.

Politicians unite in ‘disgust’ at attacks on Turkish Cypriots
By Elias Hazou

THE GOVERNMENT and political parties yesterday denounced the harassment of Turkish Cypriots by hooded thugs in separate incidents in Nicosia on Saturday.

No arrests have been made, but the attacks are believed to have been perpetrated by football supporters on their way to the Omonia versus Apoel football match.

According to eyewitnesses, youths on motorbikes and wearing balaclavas attacked a number of cars with Turkish Cypriot licence plates, smashing the windshields and removing the plates. The attacks occurred outside the Apoel football club building and near the Mall of Cyprus.

In at least one instance, Greek Cypriots witnessing the scenes rushed to the aid of the Turkish Cypriots, who later filed complaints with police. In one case, a baby on board one of the attacked cars was reported to have been slightly injured.

In another, a Turkish Cypriot reported that a group of around 10 youths accosted him while he was in his car on the traffic lights on Makarios Avenue near the Hilton Hotel and the Apoel building. After pounding on and damaging the car, the assailants fled the scene.

The government issued a strong condemnation of the incidents, which it said sought to scupper ongoing peace talks and the climate of reconciliation between the two communities.

“We need to denounce all such acts by extremist and nationalist circles…” President Christofias said.

Government Spokesman Stephanos Stephanou called on Greek Cypriots to “isolate the fanatic and extremist elements among us”, adding that such incidents undermined trust between the two communities.

Similar comments were made by all political parties, voicing “shock and disgust” at the incidents and expressing solidarity to “our Turkish Cypriot compatriots”.

Youth organisation EDON, linked to the left-wing AKEL party, released a statement lamenting the existence of “organised [football] fans who operate within far-right, fascist organisations which promote antisocial behavior and chauvinism.”

The remark was understood to be a dig at right-wing DISY and its affiliated football club, Apoel.

DISY itself condemned the attacks, with deputy Nikos Tornaritis calling the perpetrators “thoughtless and irresponsible”.

Nicosia police superintendent Kypros Michaelides said authorities are currently “assessing eyewitness information that would lead to the tracing, capture and punishment of the culprits.”

Meanwhile the Turkish Cypriot press afforded extensive coverage to Saturday’s incidents, with Kibris newspaper reporting that the Ayios Dhometios crossing point was unusually quiet on Sunday, as many concerned Turkish Cypriots cancelled planned trips to the south.

Star wondered how, in light of the attacks, it was possible for Turkish and Greek Cypriots to live together. And nationalist Volkan called for demonstrations in the north to protest against the attacks.

Go back to sleep CBBB, you clearly don't know Jack about the Kurds! That's territory that's beyond your mental capacity. Stick to the measly Cyprus situation before I start on the Turks of Crete!

Why don't you get back to making your doner kebab for the drunks that visit you when the pubs close.

You obviously have nothing of interest to add to any of the threads on here being somewhere else.

Makes perfect sense to me... don't make me start liking Chrysostomos please!

And to wrap up this “H” thread so it doesn’t go to waste like the rest…

Now you know what to say to your kids the next time they come home from Turkish evening class and tell you that they’ve learned all about some “hero” called Lalla pasha who mastered the fine art of squatting to piss and saw fit to teach others across the seas… just inform them that he’s the clown who put you in this predicament on Hitler’s island in the first place!

Hitler was taught a lesson that killed him in the end, very much like the Greek and GC Hitlers who died without realising their dream.:lol:

Go to any prison and you’ll hear wardens ask…“What’s the matter don’t you like it here?” and the inmates always respond…“Hell no!” …and then the wardens swiftly remind…“Well don’t bloody come here then!”

I guess you're referring to us Turkish Cypriots no not to cross the boarder to Southern Cyprus - No problem on my behalf! I'd actually prefer to look at Southern Cyprus through my Sniper Gun lens! It's safer - might get attacked, know what I mean - hehehehe.

No, I’m referring to Cyprus, a predominantly CHRISTIAN island with an overwhelming MAJORITY of Greek Cypriots of a 10,000 year history, so if you don’t like the odds…

DON’T COME HERE!
