You mean, any decent TC would have told them.
Deniz, could it be that not all TCs have dealings with South Greek Cyprus and don't really know the dialing code for it?
This doesn't make them less "decent", does it?
I meant professıonally decent. So many TCs have dealings with the south, they could/should have an inkling. A hotel worker might have been more than helpful and know where to get the info from. Are you saying the info is not available?
No Deniz, that's not what I am saying at all. What I am saying is that just because a TC does not know the dialing code for the South does not make him less "decent".
Also "titsup" said : " They transferred us to directory enquiries, which turned out to be in Turkey".
Who transferred them? If it was the hotel clerk than that means that he at least tried to help, does it not?
Also, do not forget that Turkey does not recognise the "RoC" so why should it give any info on something that it does not recognise?
"titsup" has had dealing with the South and doesn't have a clue what the dialing code is and is blaming everyone else for her own shortcomings.
How do we know that she is telling the truth anyway?
Anyone can make up stories just to get some attention.
