The oil found belongs to the Republic of Cyprus it is south of the green line and as long as the TC's do not recognise the republic of Cyprus as the legitimate country they have no rights to oil and therefore no profits. When the TC's come around and unify under a federal republic of the United Sates of Cyprus. Where all Cypriot are given back their rights to ownesrship of property then everyone ought ot share in the profits.

Even if the oil was found North of the Green Line, it still belongs to the RoC.

Judging by their activities in Iraq and Afghanistan, I think you will find that rather then the Yanks taking on the might of the Turkish Military; it would be more practical to ditch the contract with Cyprus and have one with Turkey. Fancy that.

I am sure that the Yanks and the Aussies would rather go through legal avenues, as they too have an EEZ with valuable resources and they would not wish to set a precedent.
