Even if the oil was found North of the Green Line, it still belongs to the RoC.

Word of advice sir, prey to your god that it is not found, otherwise you will find Cyprus in the 200 mile Turkish sea zone and will regret it. Not that I wish such a thing, just a thought.
As you know in life big fish eat the little fish, with the exception of piranha - but then again Cyprus ain't no piranha. I think you are spending too much time upside down and too much of your blood is getting to your head

There are laws which govern this and Turkey does not have the right to engulf Cyprus with a 200NM EEZ.

Why? Does Turkey have a history of acting violently and solely in its own self interest disregarding international law and its neighbours sovereign rights?

Noble Energy is the company that has signed a deal with the RoC over exploration rigths. :D

Did we send a decoy to keep the Turkish warships busy in the west coast, whilst all the while we had contracted for explorations in the east coast?
:D

We are a clever bunch.

I for one am so excited about Nob le Energy and their massive Oil and Natural Gas find within our EEZ.

I wish I had shares in Noble Energy. :(

We have a share in our country's good fortunes and (a free) future ... :D

Everything we do, in unison, is for the one ultimate goal .... remove the Turks!

 With the Americans finally on side, through Noble Energy, things are finally looking up for Cyprus. I would like to see a Turkish warship harrassing a Noble exploration vessel in our EEZ. I am sure the US 6th Fleet wouldn't be too impressed. :D

At the very least, Cyprus is set for a very an even more prosperous future, with or without the TCs.

I am very happy for you guys. Soon you will have every major Oil Exploration company knocking on the door of the Presidential Palace. :D

You ahve been blaiming thr US and the UK for the shit you got the whole of Cyprus into for years and now you are willing to kiss their arse in the hope they will help you.

You must be one of those they call "brown tongue"?

The Americans love their oil.

You seem to be a little worried. Oh BTW, I have also heard that an Australian Oil Company is about to send delegation to Cyprus. My brother in law works for them and they are closely looking at Cypriot EEZ plots.

Have you heard of Santos? :D Now that IS a company I have shares in. :D

They should make a new TV series called "how brown is your toungue". In the GC case though, it should really include the nose as well.

So what are you GCs going to do now, take every accusation and names you called the US back and cuddle up to close to their arses?

And no, I am not worried at all because no matter what happens the GCs will not be the only ones to benefit from this "find", one way or another.

In case of unification, you will have to share or if you don't want to share, you will have to recognise the TRNC.

Now than, what was the title of this thread "the final nail in the current negotiations coffin??"?

How about we shove a couple of aircraft carriers right under your nose. I am pretty sure they are destined for the Med and Gulf anyway.

Do you think a Turkish warship would have the guts to come within 100 NM? :D Let's se how brave your Generals are.

Judging by their activities in Iraq and Afghanistan, I think you will find that rather then the Yanks taking on the might of the Turkish Military; it would be more practical to ditch the contract with Cyprus and have one with Turkey. Fancy that.
