That I will support on behalf of the "trnc" to save them embarrassment by taking part in that silly contest.! If the
No Talent Eurovision Song Contest was to have any credibility and all the nations that participate in it, then all the songs should be sung in the native language of that participating country whether they will win or not. Winning isn't everything, but showing the rest of the world what your nation and culture is all about should be the main aim. When Turkey won couple of years ago with what looked like a RAP music, that music did not represent the Turkish Culture nor did it represent 99% of the Turkish Population. Totally dishonouring ones nation by singing in a language and style that is not your own nations language.!

Obviously you know nothing about music the rythems musical instruments and even belly dancing were all Turkish, if the aim is to do well then knowing full well that songs sung in English do better then everyone wants to put in the best effort Gc Cyprus included, 500+ million viewers cant be wrong it is the most viewed musical festival in the world that has produced such international stars as Celine Dion and Abba.

has produced such international stars as Celine Dion and Abba

The above two had talents and they would have been a success with or without this silly show. Granted, in the old days, the show did have better performers. If I remember correctly, Cliff Richards and Lulu also performed and they were stars before and after the Eurovision contest. Abba and Celine Dion were destined to be mega stars and the show did not make them that, because they were already great, because they had talent. Since those two, can you name one other performer who has made it on the world's stage as a great performers, out of the hundreds of performers. You can't think of one because these people do not have the talent to make it. The world is full of talented performers and they did not need to be in this silly show to be where they are. Only the ones without talent need to apply to this dumb show these days. As for the public's hunger to see this silly show and you saying that 500 Million people can't be wrong, is like saying "500 million flies eating shit can't be wrong". It's all a matter of taste, and lets face it, a lot of people will watch anything just to have something meaningless to talk to their co workers the next day about this silly show. Anyway, enjoy the show. When is it anyway.?

Abba and Celine Dion were unknowns and Eurovision brought them to the forefront amking them famous, Now famous and semi famous singers such as the Greek singers Sakis Rouvas and Anna Vissi have performed a few times in this show you call "dumb" (spelt correctly). Its a show piece of fun and music bringing Europe together. Your pompous and arrogant high and mighty woodbe intellect is fooling no one and 500 million people do not take kindly to being called flies around shit, maybe it is you who so "dumb" that you cannot even take such events for the what they really are bringing all these people together to enjoy music in which every form standard or shape each country wants to contribute.

Why do you think the UK have been getting "null point" for the last few years, if not for their politics?

As to friendship ... we are talking aren't we?

(OMG ... can you believe VP is so serious about the Eurovision? )

But what's the logic of judging a song based on the ongoing politics of it's country?

Of course we r talking... but being good friends is something special. I always try my best to have good friends instead of ordinary friends. Is it something bad or unnecessary to getting closer for people whom r supposed to reunite and live in the same small island? :)
