How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Well done. Its taking part that matters.

Knowing you dont stand a chance takes a lot of courage, well done Zeliş very brave of you. Even today one of our well known singers in Turkey Ziynet Salı said she would not participate.

People are still struggling with the principle of this very good example, forget the song contest this same scenario will unfold when our children apply for jobs, when the choosing board are all GCs or when TCs apply for government posts they will be judged not for what they know but what ethnic origin they are. If we do not have safeguards to ensure TCs are included in all walks of life where the GCs can manipulate a situation in their favor and act racists against TCs we will be brushed to one side like Zeliş.

Thats her choice VP.

Personally Zelis was very good, but I did not expect her to win. She did not either, perhaps, but was brave enough to take part.

But as Kiks says, Eurovision is a waste of time. For years we know its all political and nothing to do with the quality of the presentation.

Its a premier gala event over 1 billion viewers world wide, thats why so many well known names want to participate. Its a chance to show off your country and enjoy the event the benefits are tremendous. People are blatently ignoring the dangers we would face if left to the mercy of the GCs in all walks of life not just this song contest but in very things that would effect us negative, we need safeguards to ensure GCs do not discriminate and manipulate issue to the benefit of only other GCs, brushing us to one side in a United Cyprus. Do you want to take that risk? or do you want to know the rules of the game form the outset before you commit because after you commit theres no turning back and there will be many Zeliş's year after year after year, you will be an on looker while GCs represent you every year on the international platform.

Hypocritepoint, stop bickering you fool and grow up so the young Turks can start thriving like the rest of the normal human beings in this world. Just because you never had any dreams, your willing to take down 70 million Turks with you? You selfish, arrogant, spineless fool.

There is a choice here. One where we withdraw into our little shell and not participate and the other is to . 'try and try again' and show these billion viewers that we are there too.

You can bang your head against a brick wall but no one will take any notice as you wont be allowed on the world stage, all I ask for is a fair crack at the whip if not chosen naturally, if GCs are not racists they will vote for talent and a TC will also ocassionally win then the safeguard will no longer be necessary but if for 20 years no TCs is ever chosen will you be happy with this? What if your children go for jobs in front of a GC board and your child has all the right attributes for the job but does not get it because a GC applied with less qualifications but was chosen purely on the basis that he was a GC. How will you feel then?

No HP, I leave that to Turkey to slap down their own, like they're doing right now to todays Turkish citizens. Your such a fool you can't even notice that unless your part of their payroll. You sit behind your computer typing away about how your minority status should be equal to the majority's(GC's) in Cyprus.

By the way did you ever think about employment if the Cyprus problem gets solved? Well you should, because Turkeys almost done with you.

I understand your fears. Legislation should be put in place where a proper interview is carried out where merit is of paramount importance. This will take time to create, but not impossible.

What you are saying is like looking for a job in the north. Its who you know that matters and sometimes what party you are connected to. We should all try and stop 'corruption' at all levels. It isnt easy, but possible for the politicians to negotiate all these problems/fears.
