Yeah, I agree with that... all up just 30,000 odd votes were cast, many from the same phones!

The potential of 800.000 GC votes is what counts, theres a far better advanatge if you have this sort of pool.

Shit happens when you're a minority... :(

Is that what you wanna hear VP?

Btw, that "Bleed 4 U" was UTTER crap wasn't it? :?

Actually among the other crap I think that was the better one. Although I think it would sound better in German

Even the song title is macabre… :? what are you Gothic?

The potential of 800.000 GC votes is what counts, not the number cast.

VP, those 30.000 votes means a lot less people, since each phone could make 10 calls. So if 1500 odd TCs wanted to push the TC singer to Eurovision they could.

If you take the issue in a racist way, and assume that each side would vote singers coming only from their own community, then the votes of those "800.000" GCs would have been divided by 9 songs, while all "120.000" TCs would vote that one song. That would make the song with the TC singer win.

But that is not what happens in reality, because most people are not racists like you. They either vote based on what song they like, or they vote for their friends/family.

In this case 800.000 potential GC voters vs 1.200 TC voters friends and family is not match. She didnt stand a chance but we knoew that from the outset.

OK VP, I am sure a 5 year old child would understand what I said in my previous post, but apparently you can't, so there is nothing more I can do for you. Just read my earlier post again a few times and maybe you will finally get it.

She came 5th out of 10, and very near the 4th and 3rd. So whats your point?

It is you who is biased if you think she should have won, since her song was surely not the best one and not the second best either. The max she could have got with that song was the 3rd place.

Even if she had the best song she did not have the potential voting pool like the other GC singers, she was up against from the outset, clearly the best voice on the night but lacked the voting potential of the other singers.

I did the math for you earlier, and your point is not valid.

800.000 divided by 9 is less than 120.000.

The fact is that the vote was not based on ethnicity, but still if the TCs wanted to push their own singer, even if her song was definitely not the best one, they easily could. All it was needed is 1500 TCs to vote.

The numbers game again Piratis, the racist Gc voters would rather see any other singer than a TC win,so stop arguing otherwise.

There are about a dozen Brits that saw her performance who also thought she was crap, stale and predictable ....

You need to listen to Zelish again she is rarely out of tune I have heard her live and she very good, thought she was one of the best on the night but with 800.000 GC voters she didnt stand a chance. We are still real proud of her did real well considering the pressure she was under but the outcome was known from the outset.

Her song was yesteryear…

And the winner wasnt??? listen to Norways winning song Nocturn some years back its a rip off that...please lets not get ahead ahead of ourselves.. the young GC girls needs to learn to sing first, the song arrangement needs to be vamped up to stand a chance of getting through the semi finals have you listen to the competition???

I will vote for her with both hands and three legs! :D :D :D

The TC gal was too bad and she lost the chance to represent the RoC . I would have liked to see her with a big RoC flag showing the way to her TC community. :D

VP, probably most TCs chose to vote for the best singer and not being bloody racists like you.  You probably thought that all her votes should be multiplied by 4.

As I happened to be working, I didn't hear any of the songs but I will give full credit to the TC girl for trying. I think it's wrong to run her ego down because of your political views. I hope she doesn't give up and try again next year.

This isn't going to work, unless people just represent Cyprus and not their "communities" .... Positive discrimination has been our undoing. People have to have appeal as individuals and not have "heroic" status associated with them, just because they are from a minority section of the wider Cypriot mass.
