EUROVISION SONG CONTEST

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby MrH » Wed Jan 28, 2009 1:09 pm

Humanist,

I believe in good faith and in hope for unification the Republic of Cyprus ought to invite the TC's to put a song and singer among others to represent Cyprus.

The Greek Cypriots would NEVER allow it - Why? Because they DO NOT WANT to SHARE the ISLAND. Remember, in their eyes, we are a MINORITY and NOT a PARTNER of Cyprus. This is the underlying issue here, and I hope ALL of our Turkish Cypriots understand this. This is why unification under the way the GCs want it will NEVER happen.

The original Constitution was a PARTNERSHIP agreement, and NOT one based on Minority and Majority!

The sooner ALL of our Turkish Cypriots agree on this, the quicker an agreement will materialise.

All the partitionists can now kiss my arse.

Cypriots should vote for her and let her respresent the RoC at Eurovision... 8)

If she's better than the others, she'll get to go.

I don't see the difference. Even our best singer will come close to last so perhaps we should allow the TC singer to represent the RoC regardless.

If anything it will put to rest any TC claims of bias and invalidate their arguments for Apartheid.

First TC in 30 years and in a Greek TV where TCs have no right to vote. Even if they did, they wouldn't understand what was going on in the show since South Cypriot TV doesn't broadcast in their language... and no need to say she won't be choosen.
Viva Bayrak TV!

Why do the have no right to vote? They don't have telephones?

They don't use Greek mobile operators so they simply can't send sms.

And who's fault is that?

"excuses are like ass holes, that everybody has one"

However, the NeoPartitionist seem to have many more than others.!!

Blame Denktash for keeping the crossings closed for such a long time and if it wasn't for the fact that the RoC was about to enter the EU, they still would be closed and this TC singer will be sitting at home dreaming about one day representing her country of Cyprus, as well as other TC's dreaming of being part of Europe. Well, she now has a chance, which is more than what Denktash gave her and others.!

Let me guess and say that she will be singing in English.!

I further rest my case with you.!

She is in the final now. May the best singer win...TC, GC or Armenian.....the only problem will be when she is voted out because others are better the neopartitionists will come and moan about it and have more excuses to justify their way of thinking

The dubious difference between “share the island” and “coexist on the island” is everything here. It’s yet another example of the typical Turkish Cypriot abuse of words and phrases including…

“Democracy”: Two parties “agreeing” despite one being militarily blackmailed.

“Political Equality”: An ethnic minority attaining undemocratic political advantages over the overwhelming majority thanks to a military blackmail.

“Share”: See all the above.

With these sort of twisted ideologies lurking in your heads all day, you’re just a bunch of shameless peasants from yesteryear and if you think you can ever attain the respect of the Greek Cypriots this way you’ve got another thing coming…
