The guy who GR quoted was talking about after (subsequent) the Ottoman conquered Cyprus, GR the clown replied with what happend in 1570 in an attempt ti ridicule the quote.

Are you really that thick or just jumping in to defend GR without having read the thread?

The author’s English is crap, his facts wrong, and your IQ exposed by the same characteristic that determines it… your stupidity!

It's your English that is crap you clown and your attempt to discrdit him only exposes your own low IQ in undestanding basic English. Stick to Greeklish you clown.

Read the quote below and tell me what's wrong with it.

Once the center of power for the large Austro-Hungarian Empire, Austria was reduced to a small republic after its defeat in World War I. Following annexation by Nazi Germany in 1938 and subsequent occupation by the victorious Allies in 1945, Austria's status remained unclear for a decade. A State Treaty signed in 1955 ended the occupation, recognized Austria's independence, and forbade unification with Germany. A constitutional law that same year declared the country's "perpetual neutrality" as a condition for Soviet military withdrawal. The Soviet Union's collapse in 1991 and Austria's entry into the European Union in 1995 have altered the meaning of this neutrality. A prosperous, democratic country, Austria entered the EU Economic Monetary Union in 1999.

"Following annexation by Nazi Germany in 1938 and subsequent occupation by the victorious Allies..."

This is ok because you have TWO SUCCESSIVE ACTIONS making the use of the word "subsequent" valid!

It refers to the way the Ottoman treated the inhabitants of the island AFTER it conquered it. Get it clown?

SUBSEQUENT: FOLLOWING IN TIME OR ORDER, you uneducated clown.

You can twist it as much as you like but all you are doing is proving that you are the uneductaed clown in this forum and wherever else you post in.

Give it up goofball...it's over! You're just burying yourself deeper with even more stupidities!

"Subsequent Ottoman occupation" means that it was occupied before and the SUBSEQUENT OTTOMAN OCCUPATION makes it "TWO SUCCESSIVE ACTIONS".

You have just proven that you are incapable of understanding anything unless it is written in such a way that your uneducated brain can comprehend it.

You are a clown GR and not as "clever" and "educated" as you try to make people believe you are, some gullible fools might just belive you though.

In written English you cannot have ASSUMED portions of text to justify mistakes like a sentence that starts with… “The subsequent invasion…”

Have a look at this example below where I’ve replaced the word “subsequent” with “consecutive” to make you feel better…

“The consecutive occupation was successful.”

This is wrong because it doesn’t tell us what it’s consecutive to! We cannot leave it up to the reader to ASSUME anything!

“The invasion and consecutive occupation was successful.”

This is ok as there is nothing assumed!
