Yes, and the truth is that Cyprus has been denied its freedom and self-determination by foreign invaders, and the only thing that the Cypriots ever fought for and will continue to fight for, is for freedom, democracy and human rights.

There would be no need for EOKA, "Akritas" or anything else, if all these invaders would allow the Cypriot people to have their self-determination and democratically and peacefully decide the destiny of their own island. All conflicts and wars between Cypriots and Turks in Cyprus were started by the Turks, and they come here crying because they had (comparatively few) losses in those conflicts as well, as if we should have just stand there and allow them to kill us and take away our rights without fighting back.

You invade our island, enslave and exploit Cyprus and its people, kill Cypriots by the 10s of thousands, and then you come here to complain because Cypriots fight for their freedom??

Why am i writing this post? Because Bananiot's stupidity needs to be answered and i am bored.

Allow me to introduce myself Bananiot. My parents are both Greek Cypriot. As a child i lived in Cyprus but was taught and brought up for the most part in America and have great love for the United States. USA, USA USA!! I am the complete opposite of my parents. I love American football, hate soccer...its the superball tonight!! I am not into politics but i do consider my self an independent (lean more towards the right) for example...my first vote in US elections went for, drum role please-- for Bush I did not vote in the last elections but leaned toward Obama. I hope he does not steer this country too much to the left. As for Cypriot politics, my political leaning does not change because i am in a different country. In Cypriot politics my vote goes for DIKO which is a centralist party after all.
