Its simple the south being 67% is GC dominated and therefore not my country. Its like visiting Spain Italy of the UK, another country.

Some of these Turkish Settlers lived for a couple of centuries in Cyprus but they never felt it as their own country. Now that they are not living in south Cyprus for 35 years it is foreign country for them already!!! Compare this with how much we love Cyprus because it is our own island. We never forgot north Cyprus because it is occupied illegally and temporarily by Turks! So I have the perfect solution that will solve the Cyprus problem: Take all the Turks back to Turkey. The problem was created by bringing Turks to Cyprus and it will be solved by taking them back where they belong. This is a win-win solution. We will get our land that we so much love back and we will get human rights and democracy. The Turkish Settlers will go back to Turkey and they will be among other Turks just like them and they will feel right at home. Not like Cyprus that they are so unfitting and problematic. There they will have all the protection of the Turkish army they want and they will also not be a minority because almost everybody there is a Turk! So everything they wanted will be true! The only thing is that they will have to be moved a few kilometers but I don't think that is a problem for them because they never understood how it could be a problem for us! And the reason they never understood is that they don't love Cyprus as we do! Move them to Turkey today and in a few decades the whole of Cyprus will be a foreign country to them like south is now!! Maybe Turkey should even give them a couple of villages to pretend that it is their own country or something so Talat and the other muppets can keep their titles! This way everybody should be happy in the end :D

perfect solution the turks are happy with their large army to protect them and everything is turkish as they wish to turn north cyprus into a little turkey. saves the hassle of them trying and failing

You two are waaaaaay toooooo late in that one my friends...Me and my family were chased off the island over 40 years ago.......I am now returning to claim what is mine not have you idiots try to sell it back to me.....The last time you tried to get rid of my people you lost a big chunk of Cyprus.......

Sorry zan you need to be a resident here to claim land back. As far as I can see you're not even brave enough to move back into your beloved "trnc" let alone the ROC. Whats the matter, worried you'll be beaten up because of your accent by some big Anatolian brother?

Zan does not want to move back to Cyprus , what gave you that idea. He wants to move on to that brave modern new world , the one that thousands are escaping in the hulk of lorries heading for Europe .Zan's new modern world , a third world nation , not for Zan though , his is a modern , compassionate , progressive and thoroughly democratic new world. Look what this new world has done to the T/Cs , annihilated most of them by driving them out , just like he was driven out in spite of his nonsense as to who drove him out !!
Go Zan , get to the promised land and quick before the T/C becomes extinct , the glorious Turkish Republic of Northern Occupied Cyprus !!!

For myself I really don't care where anyone's father or mother came from, whether they claim that they've a heritage on the island for 3,000 years or 3 days, whether they speak Greek, Turkish, English or Tamil. The principles of equality and human rights are good enough for me. I can't see how one can appeal to human rights with one breath and then in the next breath say that, actually the guy who has a Turkish parent, or who has immigrated from Sri Lanka, or who retired to Cyprus from Koln has lesser human rights than a guy who claims an unbroken family line to some Lusignan serf. (Incidentally an argument I'd have regarding any country : no one is illegal).

Next time you return home from work to find a squatter has moved into your house .... just remember, they are not illegal according to you, and you should just go and sleep in the street. (Extrapolate to illegal immigrants or Settlers - their "foreignness" is irrelevant, their illegal behaviour is not!)

(If you don't "own" property, fine, just respect the wishes of those who do!)

However, the fact that you are attempting to mislead on the respect of Human Rights on the one hand, with the violation of others' Human Rights by illegal conduct against them, suggests you are, once again, trying to justify the act of colonisation.

Sometime back this guy was equating British people moving to other parts of the world to the Cuban boat people .This is the mentality of of Copperbrain !!
I bet this guy has a thin beard , weighs no more than 65 kg likes choc biscuits , into computers and still lives with mum. !!!

Well I think "he" is a woman, with a line in Copper-coloured dyed hair

You guys seem to know more about me than I do...Bravo!!!

People like Miltiades chased me and my family off the island and disrupted our lives once already.......I was four years old and instead of growing up in Cyprus and doing all the things that entails, I have set up a life in the UK and my family now are at a point where you will not disrupt them again......Just move over you say...Its easy to say those things but not so easy to do. When my children are settled then I will think about moving back. It does not stop it from being my home.

So instead of grown men laughing and taunting me they should be ashamed of the way I feel. I would come home tomorrow if I could. That is not to say I am not happy where I am. It would be a choice I would make.

The fact that I was talking about my rights and not land as DT thought might have been something you would have added into the equation as THATS WHAT I HAVE BEEN SHOUTING ABOUT FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS.....

Your rights Zan? How about the rights of 200 thousand Cypriots who were forced to flee from their ancestral homes only to see them sold to bloody foreigners and given away to the corrupt occupation army. How many T/Cs are happy with their lot today. Not many mate , they can see the corruption , the greed and the selfish practices of those who rule them.
How many UK T/Cs have invested their hard earned money in the Mickey mouse state of the "trnc" only to find that the so called authorities are corrupt to the bone , how about their rights mate ? Do remember you are talking to some one who has twice or more T/C friends than you will ever have.
Your rights are there for the taking , your land is there for you to claim.
Go and get your rights mate , but I doubt if I can claim the only property I have in the occupied part , property that I purchased legally with pound notes so that some bloody foreigner can move in and enjoy it .

My fathers land is also lost to the Cyprob but all you care about is your bloody lot....You got the island by the balls and you want to squeeze some more.......My rights are in the Zurich agreement...Anything less you can stick where the sun don't shine. I will not let it go.

You should also look to all those people that have lost to corruption in your stinking little hole as well....We have seen recently how bad you are...Then perhaps you are part of the corruption....

Only in the banana republic of "RoC" is that a "law" which I don't believe will hold in the ECHR. No one can be expected to give up everything he has and move in to a country where he/she is hated, live there for 6 months before he can apply for the return of his land and wait for years before he can get it back.

You are in the EU now and can't make your own laws and get away with it. Just wait till the TCs start applying at the ECHR and you'll see what it means to be in the EU.

I still think that the perfect solution is a unitary state with a popularly elected lower house and a senate made up of equal representation of the major ethnic groups on the island. he Greek Cypriots get what they want with the lower house, and the Turkish Cypriots get what they want with the senate. And there was much rejoicing...
