Zan, Viewpoint and some others convinced me that Turks are too different from us and that we can not live together but we should be separate. This is logical because all Turks that are in Cyprus today are Settlers from Turkish invasions. They are here because of Turkish expansionism not because Cyprus was the right place for them to be! Also these foreign Turks do not love Cyprus at all. They only care to rule it like invaders. Here is what Viewpoint said.

Its simple the south being 67% is GC dominated and therefore not my country. Its like visiting Spain Italy of the UK, another country.

Some of these Turkish Settlers lived for a couple of centuries in Cyprus but they never felt it as their own country. We never forgot north Cyprus because it is occupied illegally and temporarily by Turks! So I have the perfect solution that will solve the Cyprus problem: Take all the Turks back to Turkey. The problem was created by bringing Turks to Cyprus and it will be solved by taking them back where they belong. This is a win-win solution. We will get our land that we so much love back and we will get human rights and democracy. The Turkish Settlers will go back to Turkey and they will be among other Turks just like them and they will feel right at home. Not like Cyprus that they are so unfitting and problematic. There they will have all the protection of the Turkish army they want and they will also not be a minority because almost everybody there is a Turk! So everything they wanted will be true! The only thing is that they will have to be moved a few kilometers but I don't think that is a problem for them because they never understood how it could be a problem for us! And the reason they never understood is that they don't love Cyprus as we do! Move them to Turkey today and in a few decades the whole of Cyprus will be a foreign country to them like south is now!! Maybe Turkey should even give them a couple of villages to pretend that it is their own country or something so Talat and the other muppets can keep their titles! Zan does not want to move back to Cyprus , what gave you that idea. He wants to move on to that brave modern new world , the one that thousands are escaping in the hulk of lorries heading for Europe .Zan's new modern world , a third world nation , not for Zan though , his is a modern , compassionate , progressive and thoroughly democratic new world. I don't know whether you are being selfish or not. Your conscience is the judge of that.

For myself I really don't care where anyone's father or mother came from, whether they claim that they've a heritage on the island for 3,000 years or 3 days, whether they speak Greek, Turkish, English or Tamil. The principles of equality and human rights are good enough for me. I can't see how one can appeal to human rights with one breath and then in the next breath say that, actually the guy who has a Turkish parent, or who has immigrated from Sri Lanka, or who retired to Cyprus from Koln has lesser human rights than a guy who claims an unbroken family line to some Lusignan serf. (Incidentally an argument I'd have regarding any country : no one is illegal).

Next time you return home from work to find a squatter has moved into your house .... just remember, they are not illegal according to you, and you should just go and sleep in the street. People like Miltiades chased me and my family off the island and disrupted our lives once already.......I was four years old and instead of growing up in Cyprus and doing all the things that entails, I have set up a life in the UK and my family now are at a point where you will not disrupt them again......Just move over you say...Its easy to say those things but not so easy to do. When my children are settled then I will think about moving back. It does not stop it from being my home.

How about the rights of 200 thousand Cypriots who were forced to flee from their ancestral homes only to see them sold to bloody foreigners and given away to the corrupt occupation army. How many T/Cs are happy with their lot today. Not many mate , they can see the corruption , the greed and the selfish practices of those who rule them.

Only in the banana republic of "RoC" is that a "law" which I don't believe will hold in the ECHR. No one can be expected to give up everything he has and move in to a country where he/she is hated, live there for 6 months before he can apply for the return of his land and wait for years before he can get it back.

You are in the EU now and can't make your own laws and get away with it. Just wait till the TCs start applying at the ECHR and you'll see what it means to be in the EU.

I still think that the perfect solution is a unitary state with a popularly elected lower house and a senate made up of equal representation of the major ethnic groups on the island. he Greek Cypriots get what they want with the lower house, and the Turkish Cypriots get what they want with the senate.
