OK this may be a little complicated hear goes- there are two types of quad bikes 1. the type that has a metal protective frame, seat belt and a windscreen (usually these also have a car type steering wheel) For this type the answer is NO you do not need a protective helmet

The other type of quad bike is the one that does not have the above features and has the motor cycle steering (for this one ) Yes you need to have a protective helmet.

I have seen many, some which do not have the seat belts fitted, or w/o a front windscreen. The best way to find out is through the certificate of ownership this will specify

Hope I had bought some light!!!

I'm not here to solve the Cyprus problem,or even help anybody. But if I can make someone smile now and again then the world might turn into a better place :?
(sorry Dangaman, but typos and misquotes do my head in)
