The truth of the matter is that I consider our politicians incompetent to say the least !!

I have the same conviction abt GC politicians. Nevertheless i have a stronger conviction that TC politicans r more incompetent than the GC politicians. I have empathy for both bcz i knw its not easy to be a politican on this small island. However, I expected a far better political performance from GC politicans of post-80s. They had/have far better conditions when compared the conditions of TC politicans. They live in the recognized part of Cyprus so that they have much more experience and relations with the politicians of foreign countries. The curative effect of better economical conditions is also an emphatic fact for a better political environment.

Have you ANY idea what the state of Cyprus was during the first 10 years after the Turkish destructions and ethnic cleansing??? :?

There were tens of thousands of GC people living in shacks and tents for starters!

I can imagine how bad was the situation in South after the inevitable events of 1974. Even moving our houses voluntarily is not easy for all of us. Most of the Cypriots faced the pain of leaving their homes behind and moving somewhere else. As a consequence of political and historical Greko-Turko(Same descendant Cypriots included) clashes over Cyprus, besides the mutual combat in 1974 made the environment almost impossible for Cypriots(Mostly the ordinary Cypriots that have not the ability to analyze the events and motives behind it) to live side by side. Hate it or like it; this is my belief regarding the whole Cyprus issue and the current situation.

Now back to the topic. Ok, let's say post 90s instead of post-80s? Whats ur point of view abt our politicians?
