Hello Turks,

TRNC Flag is an illegal flag and the promotion of anything illegal is not allowed in this forum.

You can use the Turkish flag if you want. You can find it in the one of the avatars galleries.

Although I see where admin is coming from, I do think this level of censorship is out of order and therefore I have sympathy with Turks' position. The likelihood is that the current flag of the TRNC could become a constituent state flag in any reunified future Cyprus. I also fail to see why the TRNC flag could be considered as illegal... there is no such thing as an illegal flag... just the state itself is illegal.

I think the admin has done an admirable job in getting rid of the more inflammatory elements such as signatures portraying the murder of TC or GC and provocative racist statements, but I think they've dropped the ball on this one... After all, GCs see the TRNC flag staring at them every day from Pendedactylos... how annoying can it really be as an avatar?

Strictly speaking, you could draw a line from this and say that any advocation of the TRNC isn't allowed since that would be promoting an illegal state. End of forum... Please rethink this decision admin.

If admin dont let any Flag, It becomes law.
If he just dont let TRNC flag, Because he thing it is illegal(If admin is turk, It would be legal), It is complately politic.

I tend to personaly agree that on this specific issue the admin has made a bad call. I also agree that in general he has done an admirable job of moderating what has to be one of the most difficult moderating roles you could imagine. Moderation even on non contentious sites is a thankless and difficult job that no will ever get 100% right (in the view of all the posters). Thus I think we should all (Turks, Piratis, myself and everyone else) keep things in this context. IE one 'bad call' does not a bad moderator or bad or biased site make. I stress this because I know how difficult moderation can be and think we should show our support for how the site has been moderated to date in the most general terms and not allow the rare occasion where we think a bad call has been made be blown out of proportion.

but do you think there is ANY chance that the moderator would extend to this kind of behaviour based on his actions to date. I can not say I do.

The Trnc flag represends the pseudo therefore it is illegal. The pseudo itself is illegal because 85% of its land is stolen.Congratulations admin.

You can believe whatever you want, but "TRNC" is illegal and this is a fact.
