I'll try an even nicer approach. If the NG did not replace these out of use tanks would the Turkish side also decomission a proportionally same amount of tanks?

Judging by history NO, they would bring over the mother of all transport ships and load up with another couple of 100 US made tanks to watch over us while we talk.
