Probably because you guys made such a song and dance about the rejection of the agreement, by ripping it up, they decided to at least state their case.

FFS, you walk out of a room having sign a negotiated agreement, then immediately tear it up then expect everyone else just to standby and wait for you.

You need to get your house in order otherwise you have no leg to stand on.

Ever the Intransigent Turk to Turk, Serdas Donktosh, the alleged "minister for sport" in "trnc", is reported in Kibris Star in this way, according to a summary from the CY PIO...

Guess we all know where the spanner in the works is coming from...

Denktas once more expressed his disagreement over the provisional agreement signed in Zurich between the "Turkish" Cypriot "football federation" and Cyprus Football Association (CFA or KOP), with the aim of uniting Cyprus football. He stated that he warned the "Turkish" Cypriot "football federation" chairman not to sign the agreement and said that the agreement is dangerous. He added that the "Turkish" Cypriot "football federation" became member of CFA and that the “Turkish Cypriot football” will be absorbed by the "Greek" Cypriot football.

Hello B52 come back to earth no one has ripped anything up...get a grip.....if the agrreement said simultaneously then the GCs showed that agreements mean nothing to them, they act as they wish then criticise and complain about others doing the same.

Now that the GCs have endorsed the agreement we'll have to see if the TCs are true to their word. This is a test for them. No more excuses about what was agreed. The CFA is the recognised authority and the TCs need to accept that they are applying to join, not dictating the terms.

All the TC football clubs bar 2 are in favor of the agreement, but why didnt the GCs stick to the agreement?

We don't know what the details of the Agreement are. None of us has seen it.

In any event, any alleged timing of votes isn't the big issue. The real issues are the main points of the Transitional Arrangement and the resistance to it by leading figures in "trnc"

Anyways, let's hope VP is right with the assessment of how the clubs up there will vote.

Just to be clear, Sertoglu is referring to Article 7 of the agreement which merely states that both sides have to ratify the agreement. There is no mention of holding a simultaneous vote. According to Cyprus PIO:

Article 7 of the provisional arrangement for football in Cyprus is the following: This Arrangement will come into force and will be binding on both the CFA and the CTFA upon approval by their respective General Assemblies.

So Sertoglu is talking out of the back of his arse. Time for the TCs to stop pussyfooting around and ratify the deal.
