Cypriot Football getting closer to agreeing re-unification

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

VP,

it looks as if the terms of this unified football agreement will not hold. If you want to change the national anthem of Cyprus, suggest one? Is what you have in mind closer to what BIll C suggested or closer to what I suggested?

By all means suggest an alternative if its neither.

Yes you are coming over as an ignoramus, like a cihld in the playground stamping their feet saying I want Greecy Mommys national anthem.

Which anthem does the 'independent' "trnc" use? :?

Not recommended for a United Cyprus.

I don't give a f*ck for a United Cyprus. I only want a Free Cyprus.

Mr Sertoglu gives us the best indication to date that the Agreement which lead to the Provisional Arrangement will be ratified by the "t"CFA member clubs.

He also says very clearly that he isn't going back on the Agreement and has contempt for those who don't appreciate sporting values and as he says...

... have done nothing for this "country" in 40 years.

Originally reported in yeniduzen, this reprint in English from lemoncy.eu...

Cyprus "Turkish" Football Federation’s President lashes back at criticisms

NICOSIA – Hasan Sertoğlu, the president of the Cyprus "Turkish" Football Federation organised a press conference on Friday in response to harsh criticisms by certain circles about the agreement signed by the Cyprus "Turkish" Football Federation and the Cyprus Football Federation in Zurich.

During the press conference, Sertoğlu underlined that it is up to the football clubs to approve the agreement, which would enable "Turkish" Cypriot teams to participate in international games under the umbrella of Cyprus Football Federation.

“We, as the board of directors, have opened the door. The football club managers will decide on whether to walk through this door or not. You will either walk through the door, or you will lock it altogether,” said Sertoğlu.

The federation president highlighted that "Turkish" Cypriot football may open up to the world only by following the rules of FIFA. He added that an overwhelming majority of the clubs are supporting the federation and will continue to act together with the federation.

Sertoğlu also denied allegations that Turkey objected to the agreement.

“I’d rather die than step back,” he said. “We will get what we want.”

Sertoğlu described the people criticising him as "those friends, who don’t know the spirit of football, who don’t know anything about sports, who have done nothing for this country in 40 years.”

Sertoğlu thanked everyone who supported them and said; "We will integrate into the world through this path."

Doesn't look like he's in the mood to compromise. Good to see he's prepared to stick by the agreement he signed. He also seems to understand that the only path available to the TCs to integrate with the world is through the legal and recognised authority of the Republic of Cyprus. Anything else is a dead-end for the TCs as has been shown for forty years...

The flag is fine because it is neutral and does not belong to Turkey or Greece, just as the national anthem should be, dont you agree repulse?
