The GCs firstly agreed to an independent committee and then renegged changing this to a GC committee overviewed by FIFA, so we would be at the mercy of GCs yet again.

That's what your leadership told you!

Thats what the Lawyer Omer Adal told me..head of the TCFF.

You see, ....didn't I tell you so?

Tell me what? he is not part of the leadership??? he has first hand informaiton as he was at all the meetings held.

CYPRUS TURKISH FOOTBALL FEDERATION WILL NOT JOIN KOP

The President of the Cyprus Turkish Football Federation Omer Adal has said that it is out of question for the Federation to accept becoming a member of the Greek Cypriot Cyprus Football Federation KOP.

In a statement he made to the TAK news agency, Mr. Adal said for a long time discussions had been taking place between FIFA so that Turkish Cypriot football teams can play matches abroad, but due to the precondition FIFA put, that being the Cyprus Turkish Football Federation must become a member of KOP, this is unacceptable.

‘Our members and our football teams refuse to become a member of KOP’, he added.
Explaining that President Mehmet Ali Talat has also looked poorly on the Turkish Cypriot Football Federation becoming a member of KOP, Mr. Adal said ‘at a time when the Cyprus negotiations are taking place, it is not in our interest or our states.

interest for the Federation to become a member of KOP’.
He concluded by saying that the Cyprus Turkish Football Federations boards of directors and its football teams did not see it as appropriate to becoming a member of the Greek Cypriot KOP.

That remark was something I expected from you, GR. You know, it was not all that long ago that Cyprus' national football team was regarded as a joke (0-12 was your worst performance, I think) . But over the last few years Cyprus has become a better playing team. TC participation in the CFA would have eventually made them good competitors, though the political crap has now made it impossible. Have a good chuckle, GR, but as I have always said: the big loser here is the sport...

I’m well aware of that utu, that’s why somewhere in this thread I warned them about the agony of watching your country get thrashed over and over…I’m still trying to forget some of those embarrassing defeats.

I never believed for one moment that Turkey would allow TCs to amalgamate in any way or form quite simply because their official stance is and always was partition.

As for the current competence of TC players, they would’ve been lucky to have made 3rd division to be quite frank with you.
