Lol, if you eat any meat whatsoever, then you are a hypocrite. A bird living free in nature that is shot to death quickly dies a much better death than the chicken at the slaughterhouse that was brutally killed so you could eat your chicken sandwich.

Trustme,

The most enthusiastic hunter in our family is the dog. You want to try stopping her from hunting? Would love to see you try! I will watch from a safe distance.

Purdey and others, I cannot remember if I asked this before, but which is the most popular gauge (bore) in Cyprus? Is it 12 gage? How popular is .410 bore (caliber).

The 12 guage is the most popular, don't see many .410 in Cyprus. In the past two years 20 guage has become increasingly popular in particular Beretta and Perazzi.

Which is more popular for shooting clays, 12 gage or 20?

I would say 99% of Cypriots shoot clays with 12 gauge, however the younger generation do like the lighter 20 gauge, especially the women who seem to be growing in numbers. Cypriot shoot clays very well especially in summer, I think the humidity helps !!!

The number of women hunters and women sports shooters is supposedly rising fast here too.
A few months ago someone linked to this websight for women hunters and I was impressed. http://www.womenhunters.com/

Great site Novus, very impressive.
My daughter (13 yrs) had her first Pheasant Shoot in the UK in January, she had a great day and is now hooked on the sport, she shot with a Beretta 20 gauge.

While shooting sports in general has had persistently increasing participation here in the US over the past fifteen years, they say that the decline in the number of hunters is happening, but they are also saying in the industry that the large increase in new women hunters has slowed the decline to a large degree.
