xxNilxx wrote:Hi Snad.. I don't actually think English is really important here - it's a Cyprus forum. Cypriots speak Turkish and Greek. The other minorities speak (Sanna and Armenian). But, majority of Cyprus communicate in Greek. Before the minority 18% Turkish speaking Cypriots spoke Greek too.

We have Turkish and Greek as our language. Why do we have to use the language of the people that divided us and our nation?

Cypriots can understand very well what I wrote, and that's the important thing.

I understand what you are saying I was merely commenting on the fact that the rules of the forum and correct me if I'm wrong, state all posts are to be made in English?????
I can speak a little Greek but cannot read it

I will not debate with you the politics of who divided your nation, as I do not have views either way. This is a Cypriot matter and it is for Cypriots to judge.

Palio mou... Most TCs don't want partition. We want a united Cyprus of course.
But, it's not in our hands. Everything is for benefits... Turkey is only in Cyprus for the plans to divide Cyprus for benefits not for us. They've assimilated our population etc. I wonder if there's even 90,000 TCs in the north. The Turks are way more. Don't think like that... TCS WANT A UNITED CYPRUS! Anyone who doesn't for me it's the worse betrayal to their land.

Be positive guys! We can do it. We were divided because of foreign benefits, which has affected our relationship. This is why it's so important to keep together as a nation! Encourage biocommunial activities etc.

Note to GCs: What did you think about the education systems changing for the possible reunification? (ΝΑΙ, ΟΧΙ?)

It hurts me too but in order to solve something u need a lot of knowledge abt it. Otherwise instead of solving it u might make it more complicated and unresolved.

For example u saw a hungry kid but u don't know how to cook. U tried to cook something for him but instead of puting salt u put something poisionous in it unintentionally. Kid ate it and died.

I think we know enough to say Cyprus was a victim of the divide and rule policy. This isn't the point of the topic though, everybody has their own opinions about it, nobody is correct.

Yes, but incouraging biocommunial activities to bring Cypriots closer together, and speaking in Greek etc... is hardly going to do damage to Cyprus :)

I don't want people to follow me. They are not lambs... They make their own decisions ;) Besides yes knowledge is the key, and I believe my knowledgw is quite good thanks. The post is just a positive thing, it was not ment to go this deep into political conversations. If you talking about what I said before, I answered Palio in my opinion in a reply to a comment he made. If you want to tell him your opinion then feel free.
