That's rich: first Israel is criticised for insufficient aid, then for perpetuating aid dependency due to too much aid, in the same article. GR, your sources, like your opinions, suck.

Israel Stops Listening to Its Judges

The Israeli government is facing legal action for contempt over its refusal to implement a Supreme Court ruling that it end a policy of awarding preferential budgets to Jewish communities, including settlements, rather than much poorer Palestinian Arab towns and villages inside Israel.

The contempt case on behalf of Israel’s Palestinian minority comes in the wake of growing criticism of the government for ignoring court decisions it does not like — a trend that has been noted by the Supreme Court justices themselves.

Israeli stupidity has no bounds...

Israel to UN: Human Rights Obligations Don’t Apply in Occupied Territories

Addressing the United Nations today regarding its many, many violations of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), the Israeli government declared that it believes the treaty, which it ratified in 1991, does not apply in the occupied territories.

The delegation to Geneva argued that the Israeli government believes the ICCPR “does not apply, nor was it intended to apply, to areas outside its national territory.” They added hat Israel has only “limited” control over West Bank and the Gaza Strip, and that therefore it would be impossible to ensure that these rights were respected.

Israelis should take good note of...

The IV. Geneva Convention of 1949

Artical. 49. Individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory to the territory of the Occupying Power or to that of any other country, occupied or not, are prohibited, regardless of their motive.

Nevertheless, the Occupying Power may undertake total or partial evacuation of a given area if the security of the population or imperative military reasons so demand. Such evacuations may not involve the displacement of protected persons outside the bounds of the occupied territory except when for material reasons it is impossible to avoid such displacement. Persons thus evacuated shall be transferred back to their homes as soon as hostilities in the area in question have ceased.

The Occupying Power undertaking such transfers or evacuations shall ensure, to the greatest practicable extent, that proper accommodation is provided to receive the protected persons, that the removals are effected in satisfactory conditions of hygiene, health, safety and nutrition, and that members of the same family are not separated.

The Protecting Power shall be informed of any transfers and evacuations as soon as they have taken place.

The Occupying Power shall not detain protected persons in an area particularly exposed to the dangers of war unless the security of the population or imperative military reasons so demand.

The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.

http://www.icrc.org/ihl.nsf/7c4d08d9b28 ... 1e004aa3c5

Furthermore,

The Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (1998) defines "the transfer directly or indirectly by the Occupying power of parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies" as a War Crime indictable by the International Criminal Court. (Article 7, Crimes Against Humanity.)

http://untreaty.un.org/cod/icc/statute/romefra.htm

Also,

The Hague Convention

“Article. 46. Family honours and rights, individual lives and private property, as well as religious convictions and liberty, must be respected.
Private property cannot be confiscated.”

Prohibits the confiscation of private property in occupied territory, therefore the confiscation of land by the Turkish government for settlement construction is in violation of this article. (Laws and Customs of War on Land (Hague II); July 29, 1899)

And...

The Hague Convention

“Article. 55. The occupying State shall only be regarded as administrator and *usufructuary of the public buildings, real property, forests and agricultural works belonging to the hostile State, and situated in the occupied country. It must protect the capital of these properties, and administer it according to the rules of usufruct.”

In other words, the occupying power cannot take over or use territories or private properties in the occupied territories to serve the interests of its civilian population. (Laws and Customs of War on Land (Hague II); July 29, 1899)

* A person who has the use and enjoyment of something, especially property

Israel Gets Brutal With Media

NABI SALAH, West Bank – Palestinian activists are being jailed, Israeli activists are under surveillance, and the Israeli military is increasingly targeting journalists who cover West Bank protests.

The Foreign Press Association (FPA) in Israel issued a statement recently condemning what it sees as a change in Israel Defense Forces (IDF) policy in their treatment of journalists covering the growing number of West Bank protests against Israel’s separation barrier, illegal settlements and land expropriation.

"We would appreciate it were the authorities to remind the various forces involved, that open, unhindered coverage of news events is a widely acknowledged part of the essence of democracy.

The ONLY thing the Israelis are interested in (as far as Cyprus is concerned) is whether or not the 'Back Door' has been left unattended whilst the 'Front' is being used for the comings and goings of those politicians who profess to have the best interests of Cyprus at heart.

The reality IS, that the Zionists are well aware of what the outcome of the 'Talks' will eventually be, since they are in control of them and their main concern is the protection of Israel.

It will soon be too late to guard the 'Back Door', the 'Rats' have been a'nibbling their way in for a long time now, the 'DOOR' is almost as thick as those who are expecting an amicable solution soon.  (IMHO).

Israel faces war crimes lawsuit

"Three Spanish activists who were on board the aid flotilla raided by Israeli troops in May have filed a lawsuit in Madrid against Israel for war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The complaint filed at the National Court names Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and six members of his cabinet including foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman and defence minister Ehud Barak, as well as a top military officer.

In their complaint the three wrote that the “crime committed were not an accident or an act of defence” but “assassinations carried out consciously” in response to “orders given several days earlier”.

Israel sparked international outrage when its commandos attacked a fleet of aid ships bound for Gaza on May 31, killing nine Turkish activists.

They then forced the six ships in the convoy to dock at an Israeli port, before detaining those on board."

UN rights body tells Israel to end Gaza blockade

GENEVA, July 30 (Reuters) - Israel must lift its military blockade of the Gaza Strip and invite an independent, fact-finding mission to investigate its raid on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla, a United Nations rights body said on Friday.

The U.N. Human Rights Committee also told Israel to ensure that Palestinians in the occupied territories can enjoy the fundamental civil and political freedoms that Israel had pledged to uphold in the main international human rights treaty.
