interesting to note that at the Berlin Wall anniversary celebrations the only wall that was not mentioned in speeches was the one the israelis have put up through palestine - longer and higher than the Berlin wall ever was...
And now just this week a so called man of god says its ok for Jews to kill Gentiles if they think they might be a threat to israel.
I think that the teachings of David Ben Gurion have a lot to answer for...

This so-called rabbi - a self-proclaimed rabbi, from what I have read - is a slavering lunatic, hopefully without more than the odd misfit here and there as followers.

As for the wall, it serves its purpose, keeping out wannabe suicide bombers.

UN: Israel violates Lebanon resolution

“All Israeli military flights over Lebanon break a resolution aimed at ending the 2006 hostilities between the two neighbours, a UN envoy said yesterday.

“Every single Israeli overflight of Lebanon is a violation,” the UN special envoy for Lebanon, Michael Williams said. “To the best of my knowledge, there’s probably no other country in the world - probably, I may be wrong - which is subject to such an intrusive regime of aerial surveillance.”

Right, we should have bowed our heads and meekly accepted 8,000 more Qassams in silence. One day in Sderot would have this Pillay singing a different song.

Our mission in Gaza was indeed regrettable. We shouldn't have gone in with kid gloves, but rather blown that shithole off the map.

'War criminal go home,' Brazil protesters shout at Peres

"Dozens of protesters in Sao Paulo demonstrated Thursday against President Shimon Peres' visit to Brazil and Israel's actions in Gaza.

"War criminal, go home" the protesters shouted at Peres as he arrived in the city to give speak at a conference of local industrialists. Some of demonstrators held signs equating Peres with Hitler; others waved Lebanese and Palestinian flags."

Israeli military punishes troops for protesting West Bank settler outpost evacuation

The Israeli army punished six soldiers, sending two to prison, for protesting the army's demolition of structures at an unauthorized settler outpost in the West Bank, the military said Tuesday.

The soldiers hung a banner Monday at an army base in the West Bank, proclaiming their opposition to using the army for such missions. The soldiers faced courts martial, the military said.

Palestinian Children Face Daily Settler Attacks Getting to School

Being able to travel to school in relative safety is something children all over the world take for granted. But for Palestinian children living in the shadow of the ubiquitous and illegal Israeli settlements dotting the West Bank, simply walking to school can be a terrifying experience.

"It is really scary walking to school. We never know when the settlers will attack us and beat us," said Rima Ali, 10, from the village of Tuba in the southern West Bank, about two hours’ drive south of Jerusalem.
