I will answer the quote with a question if I may.
Here we had a people who were persecuted pre WW2, during and after. Some tried to return to where they came from only to find they were no longer welcome, property , land and valubles had long since been carved up among locals or taken by Nazis. A people in shock not able to understand why the world had stood by and wanted them as a problem to go away, why ? people still ask the same question. Where was there to go ? , home...

On Israel, it appears that both TCs and GCs are in agreement.

My view and experiences are quite different and i would like to share them with you.

1) I had Jewish folk make large donations to my cousin who passed away from cancer. It was quite amazing as they were just friends of my cousin's father.

2) I visited Israel, so close to Cyprus, and enjoyed my stay and would like to return.

3) I have dated an Israeli woman who had the kindest heart.

I do not follow the Israeli Arab conflict much and will not pass judgment. I will simply say that i hope one day there is true peace between the Israelis and the Arabs.

No, not all TCs and GCs are in agreement regarding Israel and Jews except some freaks here who have become Hamas /Islamist terorist group spokesman.

Considering all kind of hardships (exiles, humiliations, pogroms and Nazi Holocaust) these people have gone through in the past , their having to counter an incredible dose of ill-concealed antisemitism under the guise of anti-zionism and recalling the jewish contribution to world intellectual output and one year spent in Brooklyn N.Y, I can't have one but several thoughts about the jewish people: Admiration, fascination and life-long sympathy for them.

I agree, we met a party of Israelis in 1966 whlst stationed in Cyprus, the feeling of togetherness that they emitted made it easy to see just how they succeeded in the conflicts that followed down the years.
What the fools who're always bleating about how the Israelis are supplied by the evil west seem to conveniently dismiss is that the arabs were given far more arms between them by the Soviet bloc than the Isaraelis ever received from the west.
It's not the suit; it's the person inside the suit.
