Most of the entire world hasn't a clue where Cyprus is.
From the minority who know where Cyprus is, most do not know that Cyprus is divided.
From the minority who know that Cyprus is divided, most do not give a f**k.
Of the handful who are left, most believe it to be a problem for the Cypriots to sort out.

Quite a lot of Cypriots live in the TRNC, and are getting more and more used to it. Time is not on the side of a settlement.

That may be but ALL ACCEPT THE RoC PASPORTS , IDs AND CURRENCY AS LEGAL TENDER !!!
That me dear Observer is what matters not if most people do not know where Cyprus is !!

My immediate thought is "so what". My second thought is that, as reported elsewhere in this forum, TRNC passports seem to be accepted by other countries, I've never needed to use an ID card outside TRNC, and we use the TL, which exchanges round the world will accept.

But reverting to my "so what", my point was not whose passport is shinier than whose, but that the longer Cypriots fail to agree, the more and more the question of Turkish immigrants becomes irrelevant as there will be little support for expelling people who are 2nd ... 3rd .... 4th .......... generations born in Cyprus and who regard Cyprus as their home.

No one is talking nonsense concerning the shine on anyone's passport !!
What I have stated is that the ENTIRE world recognises the legality of the RoC passport , and all of the EU nations accept the Cypriot ID as a valid legal document. Your feeble efforts to marginalise the importance and legality of the Cypriot passport are indeed sour grapes. The "TRNC" has NO LEGAL INTERNATIONAL VALIDITY. Turkey has , whose currency and passports are legal.

Commenting on your comments regarding the varying degrees of generations of "settlers " born in Cyprus and who consider Cyprus as their home I would say that they are entitled to call this island their home when their allegiance is to Cyprus and not to the occupying power.
I do not see any efforts by the "settlers " to integrate with the indigenous population of Cyprus , they still look to the 5 finger mountain and praise the foreign flag.

This so called legitimacy of the "RoC" gives you every excuse to get rid of Greek flags and the Greek national anthem....Why are you not doing so...It could be said, and in fact you have said in your post above, that we have no choice with Turkey in the mix...What is your excuse???

Your illegal occupation of the Cyprus government was made legal by a single hasty act of the UN. I hope you are as loyal to these sort of decisions bringing about legality when the TRNC is made legal....All I have heard from Reuters recently points to a two state solution on the cards....Will you then shut up and abide by this decision???

The creation of the occupying power , the "trnc" Will never be recognised by the international community , the facts are very simmple. With the T/Cs making up less than 20% of the total in the occupied parts , and with a sizeable number against the occupation it is highly unlikely that the UN or the EU would proceed towards rceognition.
There is nothing so called in the legality of the RoC. Get it into your head that ALL THE WORLD sees the RoC as the legitimate entity in Cyprus .
Forty thousand occupying troops are not doing Turkey any favours the world can see that they are there as an occupying army .

As for the two state solution , forget it mate , the overwhelming majority of the inhabitants on the island of Cyprus would NOT accept it .

Hmmm..I wonder why you never mentioned anything about the Greek flag and Greek national anthem in that "RoC" that you are supposedly proud being a "Cypriot" "citizen" of? Was that intentional or did you sort of forget?

From the "trnc" constitution, the formation of an illegal regime that no one has yet to recognise.
Do tell me which part of this opening constitution bears any relevance to Cyprus .

""Whereas the Turkish Cypriot People is an inseparable part of the great Turkish Nation which lived independent and fought for its rights and liberties all along its history; and

Whereas the Turkish Cypriot People, in the face of events directed against its national existence and right to life, since 1878 when it was broken away from its motherland, which were intensified especially after 1955 and took the form of armed terrorism, aggression and suppression, has organised its resistance as a mature community in unity and integrity; ""

Im pleased that thousands of T/Cs do not subscribe to the above.

I'm vehemently opposed to the exhibition of the Greek flag in Cyprus and the Greek national anthem. I have remonstrated on countless occasions with those who persist in denying Cyprus its own identity.
Message to the foreigner by the name of Itdoesnts.. what ever. Foreigner go back to your motherland , stop poking your nose in my country's affairs.
