They can't build a Disneyland in a village .... they are all sited in huge areas away from, and as far from local towns as possible, because of at least the noise.

Besides I think DISNEY (Parks and Resorts) would have a say over such a venture ....

Here's an 'official' site http://www.disneyland-cyprus.com/ Which doesn't look very official to me. Shouldn't there be something from Disney themselves? Also each link at the side you click for more info (example. Florida Disney) loads something completely unrelated.
It's stupid to plan something you might not even get permission for. Most of the tourists will come from the Turkish side, unless the Greeks manage to make great offers, Turkish side is cheaper and as someone mentioned they have stuff such as casinos!
I've been to the Disneyland in France and I really don't see how they can fit such a huge park here and where will all the jobs come from? More Europeans invading Cyprus?

i dont think its worth having in north or south, you wont be able to fit a good size disney land in cyprus..

do you know that they are opening lots of casinos in north . They are opening those casinos on the GC's properties and they are leader is talking they are behind the ROC...... what a funny game ..... to sell the guns they know how to play the game ..... while they are flirting with GC's and Greece at same time they are flirting with Turkey doing exercises in Mediterranean and in this exercises some of the forces from TRNC takes parts as well ...... At same times they are trying to sell guns ,missiles and tanks to Turkey as well .....

The russian government is not building casinos in the north, russian 'businessmen' or russian organised crime rackets are. Most of those casinos are fronts for money laundering anyhow. That the russians are selling arms to the greeks and then conducting naval exercises with turkey is no big deal, every state looks after her own interests and its in russias interest to have good relations with both parties.
