As far as posting on here, my thoughts on it after reading, well what would be the point in that?

Depends.....if it's going to be facts or fiction

If it`s Fiction based on some facts, then It`s sure to be a good read.
I`ve just ordered it and will be with me next week. Can`t wait. Sounds like a very good and popular book from what they are saying over on the well educated forum for grown up`s.

 He'll probably run off to another forum and post some fiction about us... :)

Why would I waist time doing that? You have already showed others the FACT that you are nothing more than a time waster. Maybe you should stop smoking wacky backy and get real.

Are you refering to me O goddess of oracle or have I got the wrong end of the stick. I feel blessed. Of course censorship is some thing rejectionists are very good at. Us ordinary folk who are of the peasant stock are honoured to be on the same forum as the aristocratics.

I didn’t realise that they have book burning traits in their character too. Did I not worn you of their intention to humiliate you and try to get you off the forum. If this is a Hellenic forum they should honest and decent enough to put it in big bold characters in the front. Then most of us would not waste our time. Not that that would stop me. As it is a Cypriot Forum, we have inherited the right to be on this forum so long as we adhere to the rules advertised.

I wonder if Name calling like Idiot or Yfront is within the rules. Perhaps the administrator can help us on this matter. When you read the book please tell us about it.

Stay on this forum and do not allow them to intimidate you.

Why are you interrogating me about politics, in the General Chat section, where we all unwind and poke fun?

Instead of darting back and forth to tell everyone they are, or are not, one thing or the other, just concentrate on what you are!

Dear Loukanica,
If you are still visiting the site, this is for you.
I have read 'The Lemon Groves of Louvaras', and agree with the anonymous critic who praised it. It is well-written, well-researched and well-constructed. Anyone who enjoyed 'Captain Corelli's Mandolin' will surely enjoy 'The Lemon Groves'.
As for the comments posted by GET REAL and his cohorts, they are just too silly to be taken seriously. These people have obviously not read the book; in fact, I would be surprised if they had read ANY book.
Happy reading.
Please let me know your opinion when you have read it.

novelist,
Yes I do still visit the forum in the HOPE that someone, decent, like yourself may read my thread and comment in a grown up, un-biased manner. I thank you for that and I`m honoured that your first post is in this thread. I await eagerly to receive my copy (hard back) this week from http://www.cappella.demon.co.uk/examine/louvaras.html
As for GR and the rest of them, knowing a little about Cyprus history, I can understand why some Cypriots WERE anti-British. I am against any new American Bases or radar stations in the UK and would not be very happy if they went ahead without asking the UK public first and killed any of us who wanted them out! EOKA is a minority group and I will not assume that all Cypriots are anti-British.

What is an "unbiased manner"? ... and how do you know he is being unbiased? Is it because he is saying what you want to hear?

In which case he may be unbiased, that is not for me to say, but it means you certainly are biased
