Loukanico wrote:Well I`ve heard it all now. So, You see yourself as book advisor? One who advises people not to read books that you have NOT read yourself. LOL. I don`t think you have quite grabbed the concept of a book critic. You are supposed to read them first and then criticise them.
You`re a laugh a minute. You like to give the impression you know it all, yet you keep coming up with mindless post`s, giving the impression of a pompous fool.

I saw enough of these junk books in the past to know that most of these "authors" are full of shit, but I'm no longer interested in them because I've since learned that the CyProb is a sequence of historic events that can ONLY be answered with the classic....

1. What
2. When
3. Where
4. Who
5. How
6. Why

...while the rest is emotional drivel, so if you're looking to get emotionally involved with lines like... "You should've seen those terrible men attacking the children" …and sensationalist crap like that, keep buying them!

You saw these books?? Books are for reading, not looking at the cover and making a judgement.
If you have no interest in these sort of books, what possessed you to post in this thread?
All I wanted to know is if anyone has read it, and what they thought of it.
If I wanted the sort of answers you are giving me, I would have asked,
Are there any book advisers out there who have not read this book, and who think I should consider reading a boring list of facts in document form instead??

I think what GR! means is ... Don't get fact mixed up with fiction!

.... A common problem with our Turkish foes, and so one worth pointing out to budding enthusiasts of the CyProb!

Here’s the deal Loukanico…

Go buy and read plenty of these “eye-openers” and then come back HERE on the CF and show us what you’re made of! 8)

That’s when I’ll be having all the fun making you look like a dork from all the misinformation you’ll be posting!

Do you know how many fools like you we’ve seen come and go…

The bottom line is that these authors need to earn an income so their aim is to sensationalize in order to SHOCK & AWE the reader, and to accomplish that they have to use tricks such as…

Typical fact from a UN report:

“14 people died and 35 were wounded as a result of the incident”

Sensationalized author’s version:

“Dozens were murdered from the massacre and many maimed!”

See the difference? The first gives you CLEAR FACTS whereas the second sells you a movie!

I know! CREATIVE writing courses are all the rage for those wishing to be scooped up for a movie plot

I'm keeping my eye out for some English authoress (forgot her name :? ), who last I heard of, is going to bring out a Blockbuster about the EOKA "Terrorists" and the Brave Brits!

Loukanico wrote:GR. If you are telling me that you have read the book and don`t like it because the author is ill informed, then that`s fair enough. Now answer the question, Have you read it???? As you are into facts, do you know for a fact that he IS ill informed or are you talking shite again?
I know you and I have not seen eye to eye since I joined the forum last week, and you are holding a grudge and you feel you need to get your own back by hijacking my thread with your so called ` well informed` post`s, but just answer the question. Have you read the book and is it any good?

I joined about the same time as you. Just to let you know that there is a few of them and they do it to others. They actually have a different agenda.
You will have to work it out as to what that is. It would be interesting to see if we have the same conclusion.

What harm can there be in reading something even if you come to the conclusion taht this writer is ill informed. You can than inform everybody else and give your reasons. But in the mean time get ready for plenty of personal abuse.

May you stay long on this forum.

If GR! and I wanted .. we could have you both off the forum in three days (and all by the book) ... but you are harmless fools and we like to play with our prey

Fact or Fiction. I don`t give a shit.
"worth pointing out to budding enthusiasts of the CyProb"
Where the hell has that come from?

Go back to the OP. Please. A simple answer to a simple question is all I require. And now you are accusing me and the Author of a book you have not read of adding to the Cyprus problem. :eyecrazy:

You Cypriots just love to argue don`t you? Could this be the reason the Cyprus P is taking so long to resolve???????????????
