Deniz, there is snowboarding and skiing up there. It's not exactly alpine, but they do have 3 runs (I think) of varying difficulty.

In the good old days of the Republic, the only hotel/s were up Platres. Whereabouts are the hotels with the best views of the southern/south-eastern coast. Serious responses please. :lol:

I hope the roads have improved since those days with the hairpin bends and ending up on someones roof. :lol:

My wife recently asked... "Are we going up to Troodos to see the snow this year?" ...and I quickly responded... "No!" ...and leaning towards the heater she goes... "Thank God!"
